Britney Spear'ın babasının mahkeme kararıyla kontrolü eline almasının ardından. Yeni avukat kişilik haklarına mudahale olduğu gerekcesiyle tekrar mahkemeye basvuracagını acıkladı.
The second Britney Spears hearing of the day is underway, a new attorney for the pop star says he will file paperwork to claim Britney's civil rights are being violated.
Adam Streisand said outside court today that Spears is perfectly capable of making her own business decisions and he will fight to wrest control away of the singer's affairs from Jamie Spears, her father.
Streisand says he plans to file paperwork to seek a hearing on the matter, although he hasn't submitted the papers yet.
Spears "expressed to me her very strong desire" that her father, James Spears, not be named the conservator of her and her estate, Streisand asserted in court.
But another lawyer, Samuel Ingham, who was appointed by the court, said he interviewed Spears on Sunday at UCLA Medical Center and determined she didn't understand the court proceedings, and "she lacks the capacity to retain counsel."
Spears was hospitalized for the second time in four weeks on Thursday and remains on an extended 14-day hold at UCLA Medical Center's psychiatric ward.
On Friday, Spears' father, Jamie Spears, was given control over her welfare, after the court decided she was not fit to act on her own behalf.
The matter is being reviewed in the afternoon hearing.
Earlier Monday, a court commissioner decided not to make any changes to the pop star's custody situation. Spears lost all visitation rights to her sons, Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1, earlier this
month following a bizarre standoff with police at her home. |
