Christmas lunch with Al Pacino, working with Amy Winehouse and Kate Moss ... and love life questions from airport security guards?
That's how it is for Samantha Ronson, Lindsay Lohan's celebrity DJ girlfriend, and her two hipster siblings, music producer Mark and fashion designer Charlotte, who open up about their high-profile lives in the latest issue of Harper's Bazaar.
When asked about la vida Lohan, a protective Ronson, 31 (who along with her older brother and twin sister dressed as the quirky title characters of the film The Royal Tenenbaums for the feature), says: "She's great. She's also 22 years old. I think people forget that.""With the Internet the way it is, one second we're enemies, one second we're best friends, one second we're lovers, and then we're broken up," she continues.
Still, the DJ laughs off curiosity about her relationship with Lohan.
"Even the airport security guy in Canada asked me, 'So is it true?'" she says. "It's like, 'Oh, yeah, I'm telling you.' "
In an e-mail to Harper's, Lohan wrote, "I love the Ronsons. They're close to my ♥ and I respect all the work they do." But, she adds: "Samantha and my relationship is a private matter."
The Ronsons also share stories about their unconventional childhood. Mom, Ann Dexter-Jones, was a socialite and dad, Laurence Ronson, was a real estate heir and band manager.
The two later divorced and Dexter-Jones remarried Mick Jones of Foreigner, leading to family events with Keith Richards and Daryl Hall of R&B duo Hall & Oates.
But Christmas with Pacino was a huge highlight. Recalls Samantha: "I had just watched Scarface, and I don't think I spoke."

Amy Winehouse has been discharged from the hospital 12 hours after she was rushed to an emergency room, PEOPLE has confirmed.
"Amy is fine and she is on her way home," says her U.K. rep, Chris Goodman.
Winehouse, 24, was taken by ambulance from her home in north London to the University College Hospital on Monday night after suffering what was believed to be a seizure. Wrapped in a red blanket, she was taken to the vehicle in a wheelchair while her dad Mitch looked on.
The setback was part of her struggle to get clean, the rep insists. (Both the singer and her incarcerated husband Blake Fielder-Civil, 26, have a history of drug problems.)
"She was taking a new [medication] as part of her anti-drug treatment program," says Goodman. "And it was an adverse reaction to that new drug. You have to try different things but unfortunately this was not the right one." Last month, the Grammy winner was admitted to a London clinic after fainting at home. Almost exactly a year ago, Winehouse was treated at the University College Hospital for "exhaustion." Her father later revealed she had overdosed and need her stomach pumped.
She also spent a brief stint in rehab this year.
Winehouse's rep claims the troubled singer plans to take it easy in the coming months.
"She has a few gigs to perform," says Goodman. "After [playing a few summer] festivals, she is going to continue writing her new album. It will be rest and writing."

Amy Winehouse was rushed to the emergency room of a London hospital Monday, her reps say.
"Amy Winehouse suffered a reaction to medication at home this evening and was taken to the hospital. Doctors have advised that she will be kept under observation overnight and is likely to be released tomorrow," the singer's American rep says.
The troubled 24-year-old star was taken by ambulance from her home to University College Hospital, her U.K. spokesman Chris Goodman confirms to PEOPLE.
No other details were provided. Late last month, the Grammy-winning Winehouse was released from the hospital after a stay of more than 10 days for what her rep characterized as treatment for a "chest infection." At the time, her rep said she would be continuing treatment on an outpatient basis.

Troubled British singer Amy Winehouse was taken to a hospital in London Monday, her rep confirmed to Usmagazine.com.
Eyewitnesses saw police escort the 24-year-old in a wheelchair from her London apartment, according to SplashNewsOnline.
The singer was taken to the hospital last month for tests after she fainted at home in London. Her dad Mitch told UK newspaper the Daily Mail that she has emphysema.

Mitch admitted earlier this month he fears his daughter could die "a very slow and painful death.
"She won't die of a drug overdose, it won't be that quick," he told Sky News television, according to BBC News. "She would die, unfortunately, of emphysema. That would be the most likely scenario if she didn't check her behavior, which she is doing."
He said that Amy - who has been in the news recently for a series of scuffles - will stop performing live in September to rest her voice. She will also start writing her new album that month.

In April, Winehouse was released on bail after being arrested for suspicion of drug use. She was questioned by police for more than nine hours about footage from January that shows her allegedly using a crack pipe.
The singer also went to rehab in January.

Amy Winehouse's wacky – and waxy – likeness has now been officially immortalized, along with her tattoos.
The singer's parents, Mitch and Janis, unveiled their daughter's wax figure at Madame Tussauds London on Wednesday, with her father calling its likeness "perfection."
"This is the reward for her musical achievements and her talent," he told reporters.
The waxwork's outfit replicates the one Winehouse wore to 2007's Brit Awards – a bright yellow mini-dress with towering black heels. Microphone in hand, the figure stands in the museum's "Music Zone" among such other chart-toppers as Beyoncé, Justin Timberlake and Kylie Minogue.
Although the real-life Winehouse, 24, was a no-show at Wednesday's little ceremony, her father said she plans to see the figure for herself in the next two weeks.

Amy Winehouse won't be seeing her husband for quite some time.
Blake Fielder-Civil has been sentenced to 27 months in jail after admitting that he beat up a pub manager in a barroom fight in 2006.
The 26-year-old - who has been in jail since his arrest last November - also admitted he offered the landlord of Macbeth's pub in London $400,000 to stay quiet, the Associated Press reports.
The judge told Fielder-Civil he had behaved in a "gratuitous, cowardly and disgraceful" way.

Winehouse, 24 - who wed Fielder-Civil in May 2007 - wasn't in court at the time of the sentencing.
It might be a good thing Fielder-Civil will remain behind bars.
Winehouse's father Mitch had recommended Fielder-Civil seek rehab if he got out.
"If he comes out and they go back to doing what they were doing before, she's going to have a serious health problem," Mitch recently said. "He's a fit young man, he could probably carry on like this for the rest of his life. Amy can't and he has to understand that."

Meanwhile, the personal drama continues for Winehouse, who is set to start writing her new album in September.
She was photographed clubbing in London until the wee hours of 5 a.m. Saturday.

Natalie Cole has hepatitis C.
She was diagnosed with the liver disease during a routine examination, her rep said in a statement to the Associated Press.
Doctors believe her drug use years ago played a factor. (In 1999, she told Ebony she once overdosed on heroin in a so-called "drug-den.")
"I've been so fortunate to have learned so much from my past experiences," Cole, 58, said in the statement. "I am embraced by the love and support of my family and friends."
Although she is suffering from side effects (including fatigue, muscle aches and dehydration), her doctor said she has had a "terrific response to her medication and is now virus negative."
"This gives her an increased chance of cure," Dr. Graham Woolf, Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at UCLA/Cedars Sinai Medical Center, said.
Said Cole: "I am committed to my belief in myself and in my abiding faith to meet this challenge with a heartfelt optimism and determination. This is how I intend to deal with this current challenge in my life."
In February, Cole, the daughter of famed jazz musician Nat King Cole, slammed The Recording Academy for awarding Amy Winehouse five Grammys.
"It sends the wrong message, that even in the midst of her stupor of drugs she can get nominated for all these awards," Cole said.
"I've been in this business over 25 years and I sacrificed five years of my own life on drugs and almost lost my life because of it," Cole said. "So I take great offense to almost see someone getting glory out of being in the position that they're in."
