Rebecca Romijn's Ugly Betty co-stars would put bets on the star giving birth to twins before her due date.
"She's due in January, but she said because they're twins... they might be coming early, maybe December," Judith Light told Usmagazine.com at the Women Empowering Women In Fashion, Media and Music Gala in NYC Saturday.
"I'm sure they're going to come sooner," Ana Ortiz agreed.
"She's been off since the end of August taking it easy," Ortiz said. "I guess we can't say what happens to her, but we had to give her a little baby break."

So how is Romijn, 35, holding up?
"She's doing awesome," Ortiz told Us.
Ugly Betty star Vanessa Williams also shared with Us that she's given "plenty of advice" to Romijn.
"She's having twin girls, she's well prepared already," Williams said.
"She's nesting right now," Williams revealed. "She can't leave in the next couple months because she has to stay close to home."
Romijn and husband Jerry O'Connell, 34, "are going to be the most fun, zany parents in California," Williams told Us. "The kids are going to be gorgeous.
"And she's smart, she's talented, she's funny, and she's well grounded," Williams added. "That's what you need to be to be a great mom and raise great kids."

| ANA ORTIZ HINTS AT MORE BABIES ON THE SET OF UGLY BETTY Blog |
Babies are a frequent topic of conversation among the cast of Ugly Betty. With co-star Rebecca Romijn expecting twins and executive producer Salma Hayek a mother to 11-month-old daughter Valentina, cast member Ana Ortiz says she's feeling the pressure to have a child of her own.
"I really am!" she told PEOPLE Monday at the show's season-three premiere party at Highbar in New York City. "It's definitely something that my husband [musician Noah Lebenzon] and I talk about all the time."
Ortiz, 37, even says she's gotten the most encouragement to start a family from her costar America Ferrera. "America, she's my little guru. She's only 24 years old, but she gives me advice all the time," says Ortiz. "I remember when I first got engaged, she wanted me to have babies right away, and I said, 'I can't, they'll fire me!' And she told me, 'Don't live your life in fear. You have to do what you want to do; you can't stop your life for TV.' "
Now Ortiz says she's isn't worrying about losing her TV gig, and jokes: "I have the most supportive producers, but I would do it, even if they didn't want me to."
Whether or not babies are in her immediate future, Ortiz says her onscreen life may include a child. "I think with my character Hilda it's something that can definitely happen. Just a little more drama for her!"

Lindsay Lohan caused quite a stir on the set ABC's Ugly Betty: She got into the food fight!
Relax, it was for her role.
"It broke the ice really well!" Ana Ortiz told Usmagazine.com at the Hot in Hollywood party Saturday. "She throws a bagel well!"

Ortiz told Us she was "surprised to learn that [Lohan] is really funny.
"We did some improv stuff, and she just fell right into it," Ortiz said. "She threw in some off-the-cuff lines – I was really impressed!"

Lohan, who will appear on a few episodes of the show this season, plays Kimberly, "an old high school mate of Betty's who tortured her," Ortiz said.
Years later, the tables have turned: Kimberly is down on her luck, while Betty [America Ferrera] works at a glam fashion magazine.
The third season of Ugly Betty premieres September 25.

| COSTAR: SALMA HAYEK IS 'INSPIRING' Blog |
Salma Hayek’s recent split from her French billionaire fiancé, Francois-Henri Pinault, isn’t dampening her mood.
"I’ve never seen her happier," Hayek's Ugly Betty costar Ana Ortiz, who wore a red Angel Sanchez dress, told PEOPLE.
The couple, whose daughter Valentina Paloma was born last September, announced their split last month, but Hayek, an executive producer on ABC’s Ugly Betty, was all smiles Sunday at the ALMA awards in Pasadena, Calif., where she accepted the show’s award for Outstanding Television Series.
"I think this is really just a whole new evolution of who she is," Ortiz added. "For me it’s inspiring because it goes to show you, you really can have it all. She’s handling everything with grace and dignity and she’s still kind.” Ortiz, who took home her own award for best supporting actress in a television series, recently celebrated her one-year anniversary with husband Noah Lebenzon. Cchildren are definitely in the future for them, but they’re not in a hurry.
"When it happens it happens," she said. "We’re seeing. We’re leaving it up to fate," adding that Hayek is a "wonderful influence" as a mother.
Hayek hasn’t made an appearance yet on the Betty set since the show moved production to New York, Ortiz said. But when she finally does, the actress has a request:
"Hopefully she’ll bring the baby!"

Days after Usmagazine.com broke the news that Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O'Connell are expecting twins, the mom-to-be, 35, returned to work.
She showed off a mini bump on the set of Ugly Betty earlier this week.

Her co-stars couldn't help but gush about the pregnancy.
"She is so happy — she is going to be such a great mom!" Ana Ortiz told Usmagazine.com at the NYC premiere of Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 on Monday. "She’s a kid herself, and so is Jerry. Those kids are the luckiest people. I can’t wait to meet them!"
Added co-star Becki Newton: "I love the idea of a couple like that having babies!
"It’s so great. We’re really, really happy for them. They're great people! The babies will be stand-up comedians!"

Romijn and O'Connell, 34 — who wed last July — will greet their babies this winter.
"They did not use fertility treatments," a source says in the new issue of Us Weekly.
O'Connell told Us last month that they had been trying to have kids for some time, adding that the process had been "a lot of fun."

When it came to telling her TV colleagues that she and husband Jerry O'Connell would be having twins, Ugly Betty's Rebecca Romijn handled the announcement quietly before the news went public.
Not that their reactions were subdued. "[We're] so excited," said Betty star America Ferrera at Monday's New York City premiere of her movie Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2.
"I'm so happy for them," gushed Ferrera, 24. "They're going to be the best parents. I don't think there could be a more wonderful father to girls." As for her own expectations of the arrivals, who are due this winter, Ferrera added, "I just am waiting to see how tall those girls are going to be. I think they're going to be born my height."
Vanessa Williams has even started shopping. "I've already gotten them organic cotton baby clothes from Green Babies to start them off right," Williams, 45, told PEOPLE. "Rebecca is glowing, and Jerry will make a really fun daddy."
"She was more excited than you can imagine. Jerry's a great guy. And they laugh so much, and they have so much fun together," added Becki Newton, who also noted that the stork seems to be an honorary cast member on the show.
Besides Romijn, Eric Mabius is expecting his second child come fall, and Christopher Gorham's third is due in January.
Romijn's 'Mama-Bear Thing'Costar Ana Ortiz says Romijn is "blissfully happy" to be expecting two babies. "She's such a mom already. She has that Mama-Bear thing, always watching out for us, and she's a hoot," says Ortiz. And the dad? "Jerry is going to spoil them completely rotten."
"They're not going to be the uptight kind of parents, 'You can't do this, you can't do that,' " ventured 14-year-old Mark Indelicato, who plays Justin Suarez on the show. "They're going to be awesome parents. They love to have fun. But they still have boundaries. And they live in the coolest place ever in L.A."
And, as the parents-to-be should also note: "I'm a cheap babysitter," says Indelicato. "I only charge five bucks an hour."

A source close to O'Connell tells Us, "Jerry couldn’t be happier about becoming a dad.”
He wed Romijn last July and told Us earlier this month that they had been trying to have kids.
Asked about the secret to a happy marriage, O'Connell told Us: "We have a lot of fun together. I really enjoy being with her. I think Rebecca really enjoys being with me."
