Miley Cyrus rang in the big 1-6 Sunday at the 2008 American Music Awards in Los Angeles -- with some help from Julianne Hough, Ashley Tisdale, Jordin Sparks and Taylor Swift!
"All the girls, we decided we were going to say 'Happy Birthday' to Miley backstage," Swift told Usmagazine.com.
"I thought she nailed it tonight," she added of the Hannah Montana star, who performed a seductive version of her single "Fly on the Wall" on the show. "Oh my gosh, it was amazing ... I think she completely owned it!"

What did her pop Billy Ray Cyrus get his birthday girl (who had her Sweet 16 bash Oct. 5 at Disneyland)?
"A recording studio!" he told Us on the AMA red carpet.
Miley had another reason to celebrate Sunday: Her latest big screen effort, Walt Disney's 3-D animated Bolt, made $27 million to take third place at the box office.

Billy Ray Cyrus says his 15-year-old daughter Miley and 20-year-old underwear model Justin Gaston are making sweet music together.
"I'll tell you what – they are great friends, and they make a good team," he told Usmagazine.com at Monday's Bolt premiere in L.A. "They write a lot of songs together, and they sing – it's incredible."

He called his daughter's latest big screen effort, the animated Bolt, "amazing."
"It’s going to be a great night," said the "Achy Breaky Heart" singer, who walked the carpet with wife Tish. "I'm looking forward to seeing the film."

What advice does he have for his daughter?
"Make good choices. Do the best you can do – mostly have fun," he told Us. "I always tell her that as long as she's having fun, then it's working.
Can you believe Miley Cyrus is friends with these celebs?
"When it starts being work, then it ain't working," he added. "She loves what she's doing. She has a real passion for making music as an artist. She loves being an actress, and we all feel very fortunate being in the Disney family and getting to do both of our loves."

Billy Ray Cyrus is admitting Barack Obama's two young daughters may not appear on Disney's Hannah Montana after all.
"Oh, to tell you the truth now, this thing got a lot bigger, a lot quicker than I ever planned," Miley Cyrus' dad told reporters at the CMA Awards in Nashville Wednesday.

(On Tuesday, an Obama source told Us "no such request" had been made for Malia, 10, and Sasha, 7, to appear on the show after Cyrus said the day before they "probably will" appear on an April episode.)
"It's a double-edge sword for me because first of all, I have a great deal of respect for President-elect Obama," Cyrus said. "I just mentioned about them being on the show, and it snowballed."
Cyrus says he isn't sure it was a good idea for Obama's daughters to be on TV, anyway.
"As a daddy, I'll say to him what I say to any daddy, you may not want your daughter to get into show business," he warned. "But if the girls want to be on the show, and him and his wife think it's a good idea, I always say, everything in life, what's meant to be will happen."
But if it doesn't work out?
"If not, it's probably a good thing also because these girls are going to be in a unique spotlight, and they really do need to walk with certainty and care," Cyrus said. "I can see many reasons why it would be fun for them to do the show, but I also see a couple other reasons... I don't know."
In the end, Cyrus says the Obama's girls' appearance is out of his hands.
"I'll leave it up to faith," he said. "I think God has a plan for everything. I have no doubt if it's meant to be. I'll look up and see them some time before April."

President-elect Barack Obama's two young daughters have been invited to appear on Hannah Montana."We're pleased that Malia and Sasha are fans and, as long as their parents say it's OK, they are invited to the set of Hannah Montana and all Disney Channel shows, for a guest role or a visit, anytime," the Disney Channel says in a statement.
Billy Ray Cyrus, father of the show's star Miley Cyrus, says that Malia, 10, and Sasha, 7, have been invited to take part in an episode probably around April.
"You know the Hannah Montana film comes out in April. Maybe something might happen around then," he tells Access Hollywood.So far, the invite hasn't made it officially to the Obama family. "That was news to us," says a spokeswoman for Michelle Obama, adding that she had "no idea whether the girls would go on if offered."

President-elect Barack Obama's two young daughters haven't been asked to appear on Disney's Hannah Montana, a source within the Obama camp tells Usmagazine.com.
Billy Ray Cyrus -- the father of Hannah Montana singer Miley Cyrus -- told Access Hollywood on Monday that Malia, 10, and Sasha, 7, "probably will" appear on an episode in April. "The invitation is there," he said.
But the Obama source tells Us, "Folks within Obama-land know of no such request."

Still, Miley wouldn't mind having them around.
"I think that would be really cool and, if anything, have them visit the
set," she said.

Miley Cyrus and 20-year-old model Justin Gaston are pals, but her family would be A-okay if it turned into something more, says the 15-year-old Hannah Montana star.
"I just think right now everything is really good," Cyrus tells Ryan Seacrest on his radio show. "He's been a really great friend more than anything."
But if the friendship were to blossom into something else, her parents wouldn't necessarily object. "My family's like, whatever happens, happens," Cyrus says.
Asked point blank if they are dating, Cyrus answers, "Maybe. Maybe not."Rumors have been swirling about the relationship between Cyrus and Gaston – whom dad Billy Ray Cyrus calls "a good
kid" – since they started spending time together earlier this year.
Adds Miley: "Everyone started judging us as soon as we started hanging out." But it looks like things will remain status quo, for now, she says.
"He's a really great Christian guy. We have the kind of relationship where we can talk about [things related to being in the public eye] and he gets it," says Cyrus.
And it's good to be wary, Cyrus says – especially since Gaston, an aspiring country singer, works with her dad.
"That's what would be hard about dating him," she says. "What if anything happens? What would happen after that?"

Billy Ray Cyrus tells PEOPLE that his daughter Miley's relationship with 20-year-old Justin Gaston is "a good thing."
"Justin's a good friend. A good friend of the family," he says. "I met Justin as I was hosting Nashville Star and I introduced the two of them. He's a good kid. Great heart. Lives for the light and he's very talented."
Gaston helped celebrate at Miley’s early sweet sixteen party over the weekend (her actual birthday is Nov. 23), joining Billy Ray on a rendition of "Achy Breaky Heart." The young couple cuddled later that evening while watching fireworks.
Billy Ray has also said of Gaston, "He actually reminds me a lot of myself when I was 20 years old and I was living and searching for the dream," according to Access Hollywood".

"He's got a great heart and soul, and a lot of determination," Billy Ray added. "I think that's the true measure of a man, is when you measure his heart."

He was spotted attending an L.A. church with her family and supported her at Disney's Concert for Hope, where she performed.

Hannah Montana fans can release a collective sigh of relief: Despite reports of an early exit, teen superstar Miley Cyrus says she isn't retiring her blonde wig anytime soon.
"I am fully committed to Hannah Montana. It's what gave me this amazing opportunity to reach out to so many people," Cyrus tells PEOPLE, adding, "I couldn't do it alone. We have an amazing cast that is so supportive, including my dad who has been there for me every step of the way."
Over the weekend reports circulated that Cyrus, 15, and her dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, have been causing drama on the Disney Channel set by coming to work late and openly talking about wanting to get fired. There were also rumors of a rift between Miley and her costar Emily Osment.
A Disney Channel rep calls talk of on-set squabbles "just gossip," while a source close to Miley Cyrus says: "It's a lot of craziness." "Miley is really devoted to the show and she's really upset by the gossip," continues the source. "Miley is never late to work. Every minute of her day is planned out. When she's not shooting the movie or the series, she's recording the [Hannah Montana] soundtrack. She has a lot invested in Hannah Montana. It's not going away any time soon."
On set "they're like a big family," says the source. "Emily and Miley are like sisters. Occasionally they have disagreements but they make up and they never let it effect their work."
While Cyrus is no stranger to the rumor mill – she was recently spotted with aspiring country singer Justin Gaston sparking buzz about a budding relationship – "she's used to all of the gossip about her personal life, but when people are attacking her professionalism, it upsets her because she works really hard," says the source.
Production for the third season of Hannah Montana began last month and the network has the contractual option to film a fourth season in the future. Starting in November, new episodes will start airing including one in which Dancing with the Stars contestant Cody Linley will return as Miley's on-screen ex-boyfriend Jake Ryan.
"I'm really excited about our new season," Miley tells PEOPLE. "We are making great new episodes that I can't wait for our fans to see."
