In all likelihood, Charlie and Brooke Sheen will be the proud parents of a baby boy – or so they think.
What makes the newlyweds so sure? Well, Charlie's three other children (Sam, 4, and Lola, 3, with ex-wife Denise Richards, and Cassandra, 23, with ex-girlfriend Paula Profitt) are all girls. And unless, as he said, he's "batting 100 percent," the couple thinks they'll be decorating the nursery with baseballs rather than Barbie dolls.
"Odds are it's a boy, but we'll be happy with either sex," Brooke told PEOPLE Friday at the opening of Yellowtail Sushi Restaurant in Las Vegas. Sheen echoed his wife's statement, saying, "We're just hoping for a healthy baby, but there's a chance (for a boy) – odds are positive."
Rumors had been swirling before the Sheens confirmed their pregnancy earlier in the week, and the couple was disappointed in the way the news broke. "It would have been nice to do it on our terms," said Sheen. Added Brooke: "We were hoping to be a little further along before news got out."
Earlier in the evening, the expectant couple – along with Sam and Lola – joined Palms Casino Resort owner George Maloof and KISS singer-guitarist Paul Stanley at N9NE steakhouse to celebrate Charlie's 43rd birthday (which is on Sept. 3) a few days early.

Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller's summer of love, which began with their wedding in May, is closing with more exciting news: They are expecting their first child together, his rep confirms.
"Brooke and I are thrilled!" Sheen said in a statement Monday. "She's the best stepmom Sam, Lola and Cassandra could ever hope for. Seeing her love and affection with those three, I know she'll be an amazing mom. Unless I bat 100 percent, perhaps a boy awaits us."
Sheen, 42, already has three daughters: Sam, 4, and Lola, 3, with ex-wife Denise Richards, and Cassandra, 23, with ex-girlfriend Paula Profitt.
"Brooke found out for sure on Friday and is thrilled to death," a family source tells PEOPLE. "Brooke loves Charlie very much and has wanted a baby for some time." The pregnancy doesn't come as a major surprise: The pair began talking kids right after their wedding, with Mueller joking that she wanted triplets. "Could you imagine if I really had triplets?" she told Extra in June. "He'd be like, 'Whoa!'"
The couple were married in front of about 60 close friends and family at a private estate in Los Angeles in May. Earlier this month, Sheen, 42, reflected on married life with Mueller, saying it's "fabulous." He added, "We're having a ball. I'm the luckiest man in the world."

Charlie Sheen and his wife, real estate investor Brooke Mueller, are expecting their first child together.
“Brooke and I are thrilled! She’s the best stepmom Sam, Lola and Cassandra could ever hope for," Sheen, 42, tells Usmagazine.com, referring to his daughters Sam, 4, and Lola, 2 (with ex-wife Denise Richards), and Cassandra, 23 (with ex-girlfriend Paula Profitt).
Sheen adds, "Seeing her love and affection with those three, I know she’ll be an amazing mom. Unless I bat 100%, perhaps a boy awaits us.”

The two met in 2006 through Eric Dane and actress Rebecca Gayheart.
Sheen popped the question last summer with a $500,000 custom-designed 11-carat yellow diamond and platinum ring from jeweler Lord Alon Barak.
They wed in front of about 60 close friends and family in a small ceremony in Beverly Hills on May 30.
"We're happy, and we're having fun," Sheen told Usmagazine.com of married life on August 17 at the 2008 ALMA Awards. "We're having a ball. I'm the luckiest guy in the world."
Asked if they're planning to have kids, he told Us, "Yeah, we are definitely. And we're probably not going to stop at one!"

In June, they shot down reports that they were expecting.
"Doesn't mean it's not part of the plan," Sheen told Extra. "It's just not happening as we speak."
What does their "plan" include?
"Hopefully triplets!" Mueller, 31, said. "Could you imagine if I really had triplets? He'd be like, 'Whoa!'"

It's been two-and-half months of marriage for the star of Two and a Half Men – and Charlie Sheen is still a gushing groom.
"It's fabulous," he said backstage Sunday at the Alma Awards in Pasadena, where he took home the award for outstanding male performance in a comedy series. "We're having a ball. I'm the luckiest man in the world."
He's also suddenly one of the most private men. Sheen, 42 has dropped off the paparazzi radar following his May 30 wedding to Brooke Mueller, 30, in Los Angeles – which is fine with him.
"We're having fun," he said. "You guys don't see much of us – that's by choice."

They're among the stars who appear in TV Guide's annual star salary survey, based on information from TV industry insiders and published sources.
Who else brings in the big bucks?
According to the magazine, newlywed Charlie Sheen is the highest-paid comedy star on primetime television, with $825,000 per episode.
CSI's William Peterson — who is leaving the show this upcoming season — is the highest-paid actor in a prime-time drama, earning $600,000 per episode.
With $400,000 an episode, Law & Order: SVU star Mariska Hargitay is the highest-paid actress in a drama. Kyra Sedgwick takes home $275,000 per episode of TNT's The Closer, making her top- earning actress on a cable network drama.
Some stars make serious money without appearing on TV at all.
Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane, who supplies the voice of lead character Peter Griffin, just signed a deal with Fox that will net him $100 million through 2012.
And The Simpsons cast — Dan Castellaneta, Julie Kavner, Nancy Cartwright, Yeardley Smith and Hank Azaria — each earn $400,000 per episode.

| BREAKING NEWS: 30 ROCK, MAD MEN LEAD EMMY NOMINATIONS Blog |
Tina Fey's 30 Rock is among the leaders at the 60th annual Primetime Emmy Awards, earning 17 nominations, including Outstanding Comedy Series, Outstanding Lead Actress (Fey) and Outstanding Lead Actor (Alec Baldwin).
AMC's buzzed-about drama Mad Men nabbed 16 nominations, including Outstanding Drama Series, while ABC newcomer Pushing Daisies earned 12 nominations.
The HBO historical drama John Adams earned the most nominations (23).
Despite the hubbub made Katherine Heigl's decision to withdraw her nomination, Grey's Anatomy received just five nods (it is not up for Outstanding Drama Series). Sandra Oh and Chandra Wilson each received nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Drama Series.
Desperate Housewives took home four nominations.
Meanwhile, American Idol will face off against Project Runway, The Amazing Race, Top Chef and Dancing With The Stars for Outstanding Reality-competition Program.
The show airs on ABC September 21.

casual duo enjoyed their sneak preview of the game, then turned their
attention to the clothes in the store. According to a source, the couple
acted lowkey but still "lovey-dovey."
• A solo Kate Hudson, scoping out the fashions of
Australia in New York's meatpacking district. The Fool's Gold star hit up the Elizabeth Charles boutique where she bought four dresses,
two jackets and two sweaters. According to a source, the actress is smitten
with Aussie designers after shooting her adventure comedy Down Under.
• Ryan Gosling, chatting about music during jazz
night at West Hollywood's Green
Door. The dapper actor sported jeans, a white T-shirt and a Members Only
jacket – and spent his time talking up host Jason Scoppa next
to the deejay booth. But when he was finished chatting, Gosling sat at a
table near the band where he was joined by his mother and sisters. Says an
onlooker: "Everyone had an awesome time."
• Rachael Ray, diving into a "chocolate pizza" at Max Brenner
in New York's Union Square. The lunchtime snack was topped with chocolate
and marshmallows instead of cheese.
• Denise Richards, talking about ex Charlie Sheen
"a lot," during a barbecue at the DKNY Jeans house in Malibu, a source tells
us. But the E! star wasn't saying bad things, the source says. "She was just
relaxing, and at one point told people, 'It’s great to get out and enjoy
time with friends.' "
• Mark Ronson, beatboxing and singing an impromptu few
choruses of his hit song "Stop Me" during Jay-Z's afterparty at Club 2020 in Bournemouth, England. The Grammy Award winning producer also
