• Salma Hayek, singing "Happy Birthday" in Spanish
to friend Daya Fernandez – who founded the popular L.A. game
Hollywood Domino – during her birthday bash at The Stork in Los
Angeles. When she wasn't with the guest of honor, Hayek mingled with
girlfriends in the lounge's bell tower. Meanwhile, Orlando Bloom stuck close to girlfriend Miranda Kerr – but still
added his voice to the "Happy Birthday" chorus. Among the other celebrity
revelers: Leonardo DiCaprio.• Cameron Diaz, chatting it up with pal Robin Antin on the patio of West Hollywood's Chateau Marmont. The
actress, who sat at the table just vacated by Radiohead singer
Thom Yorke, ordered the shrimp and corn chowder, which she enjoyed
with some bits of bread that she carefully buttered. She also enjoyed
chatting with her friend, and the ladies seemed to relish their time
together, an onlooker says of the smiling, laughing pair.
• Back from Toronto (where he got cozy with ex Rachel McAdams), a solo Ryan Gosling ordered tacos for lunch
at Hugo's Tacos in Studio City, Calif.
• Avril Lavigne and Deryck Whibley,
sharing a romantic sushi dinner at Koi in Los Angeles. After their meal, the
couple left hand-in-hand, a source says.
• Debra Messing, turning the big 4-0 with an intimate party
at high-end Los Angeles lingerie store Kiki De Montparnasse. Messing sported
a metallic gold minidress to her bash – and arrived before her guests
to put the finishing touches on various elements of the party. Partygoers
(including Cheri Oteri) came with gifts for the actress, and dined
on food catered by Ashton Kutcher's restaurant, Dolce.
"Everyone was shopping around," a guest tells us of the scene.
• Heroes costars Zachary Quinto and Dania Ramirez, strolling through the Sunset Junction fair in L.A.'s Silver Lake
neighborhood with a bunch of pals. Quinto sported a gray tank, which showed
off his muscular arms, while Ramirez wore a black sundress. The pals
checked out the food – and the people! They kept running into friends
and fans, acting friendly and cheery with everybody that crossed their path.
• Entourage star Kevin Connolly, hitting up Dune
Nightclub in Southampton, N.Y., twice in one weekend!

• Looking "completely enamored" with one another, Hilary Duff and hockey-player boyfriend Mike Comrie shared a romantic meal at West Hollywood's Il Sole. Onlookers say the two were "super-affectionate" at dinner and noticed that the singer was wearing a gold-and-diamond band on her left ring finger, which she flashed for the cameras when leaving the restaurant.
• They don't call him McDreamy for nothing! Patrick Dempsey, causing quite a stir among female diners at Katsuya Brentwood in Brentwood, Calif. Even though he attempted to keep a low profile, the ladies couldn't help but walk past the Grey's Anatomy star's table – taking conspicuous glances at him before rushing back to their tables to discuss how hot Dempsey is in person. For his part, the actor seemed to be a good mood, laughing over sushi and sake with a male friend.
• New parents Jessica Alba and Cash Warren, checking out Tropic Thunder on its opening night at the ArcLight theater in Hollywood. The pair met up with two other couples – and chatted together happily. Before showtime, Warren picked up popcorn and sodas at the concession stand, where his friend introduced him to actor James Franco. The Pineapple Express star – who was there with girlfriend Ahna O'Reilly – made it a double feature, taking in Vicky Cristina Barcelona after the comedy let out.
• A mellow Mischa Barton, hanging out with rocker beau Taylor Locke at a Carbon Beach house party in Malibu. The couple sat in a corner talking all night as Barton drank water and Locke nursed a beer.
• A smiley Renée Zellweger, getting her nails done at Bella Nails in Beverly Hills. According to a fellow customer, the actress – who wore big sunglasses and was dressed casually – was very friendly to the staff during her appointment.
Also Spotted . . . • Alec Baldwin, treating his 12-year-old daughter Ireland to a little candy (specifically Swedish fish) at Dylan's Candy Bar in East Hampton, N.Y. The 30 Rock star was carrying shopping bags from Gucci while loading up on sweets . . . Rosie O'Donnell, making good on her televised promise to take pal Kathy Griffin to meet Cher in Las Vegas. The funny duo checked out the diva's show at Las Vegas's The Colosseum at Caesars – then went backstage for a personal visit to Cher's dressing room . . . Former Dancing with the Stars partners Cheryl Burke and Cristián de la Fuente, sipping cocktails while catching up at the Grey Goose ALMA Awards afterparty at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium.

Eva Longoria Parker's boss has spilled the beans!
"Eva is desperately trying to get pregnant with [husband] Tony Parker," Desperate Housewives' creator and executive producer Marc Cherry told Us Weekly in its latest issue, on newsstands now.
"After they phone their doctor, she promised me I will be the next call," he added.

The 33-year-old actress is getting a practice pregnancy run at work.
"Gaby is having a very tough time being the mother of two overweight, hyperactive children," Cherry revealed of the show's next season, which advances five years. "But Eva is having a marvelous time playing her!"
The Parkers wed last year.

Cher is selling her Malibu mansion.
Price tag?
$45 million!
Running on 1.7 acres and overlooking the Pacific Ocean, the three-story, 14,000-square-foot pad comes complete with six bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a theater, a gym, multiple verandas, a tennis court and a pool, the Wall Street Journal reports.
The home, which she built in 1992, used to house her collection of English Gothic Revival antiques, which she auctioned off about two years ago.
According to the listing agent, the home's décor now has a lighter, beach-resort style.
It's the 62-year-old singer's latest real estate move.
In 2006, she bought a condo in Los Angeles and that same year sold a bayfront house in Key Biscayne, Florida, for $8.8 million.

"Tony cut my hair!" the actress, 33, tells Entertainment Tonight.
"I had to cut my hair for the show because Gabrielle has short hair," she says. "I wore a wig in the last episode, but I didn't want to wear a wig this whole season, so I was like, 'I'm going to cut it!'"

She says her hairstylist Ken Paves forced Parker to make the first move.
"He said, 'Tony, you're going to do the first cut, so she can't be mad at me,'" she says. "Tony did the first snip. He did more and then he did more and then Kenny cleaned it up."

She also revealed how she is packing on the pounds the next season of Desperate Housewives.
To make Gabrielle look like she has two kids, Longoria says she now eats "everything in sight! Pasta ... pizza.
"Tony and I went crazy this summer!" says Longoria, who also stopped working out.
Her other secret for looking heavier? "I have butt pads, I have thigh pads, I have stomach pads!"

Housewives creator Marc Cherry said at the Television Critics Association on Thursday that he plans to end the ABC series after seven seasons. The fifth season airs this fall.
