Former Saturday Night Live star Chris Kattan filed for legal separation from his wife of less than two months, model Sunshine Tutt, according to court papers.
Kattan, 37, and Tutt, 31, who started dating in 2005 after meeting at a birthday party, were married June 28 in Yosemite Valley, Calif.
Papers filed Thursday by Kattan in L.A. Superior Court say the pair separated on Aug. 10 due to "irreconcilable differences." The former couple also have a prenuptial agreement, the papers say.The legal filling comes three days after Kattan's rep announced the split, saying the pair had "no plans for a divorce at this time."

Just two months after their wedding, former Saturday Night Live star Chris Kattan and his fashion-model wife, Sunshine Tutt, have separated, his rep confirms to PEOPLE.
Kattan, 37, and Tutt, 31, are "just separated" and have "no plans for divorce at this time," says his rep, Jill Fritzo.
No reason was given for the split.
The couple, who started dating in 2005 after meeting at a birthday party, were married June 28 in Yosemite Valley, Calif.

No joke: After just eight weeks of marriage, Saturday Night Live alum Chris Kattan and his wife, model Sunshine Tutt, have split.
"Separated for the moment. No plans for divorce at this time," his rep tells Usmagazine.com.

He popped the question at Tutt's grandmother's home in Gainesville, Texas, on Christmas Eve 2006. He gift wrapped the ring in a present.
"She is so kind, sweet and very beautiful. She's also very funny which always is a great thing. She's also very much like me," Kattan blogged on his Web site in August 2005.
"She makes me very happy," he went on. "It feels real and honest and I have more of a continuous smile than I have ever had before."
