"ate breakfast at the community table," an onlooker tells us. "They were
eagerly eating omelets." And some fans lucked out, grabbing Moore's
autograph as she ate.
• A roaming (but Romo-less) Jessica Simpson, walking through the lobby of Seattle's Hotel Monaco after checking out with
her malti-poo, Daisy. "She had these huge, dark sunglasses on," an onlooker
says. "She was going for under the radar." But – no surprise –Simpson was noticed by fans. "She was nice enough to pose for pictures with
some guests in the lobby," the onlooker says.
• Rihanna, stopping into the Betsey Johnson
boutique in New York's SoHo neighborhood. The R&B star picked up four
evening dresses during her visit. On the same day, Katy Perry stopped in, buying two frocks.
• Gabrielle Union, dressed like a cheerleader at her Bring It On-themed 36th birthday party at a private home in L.A. The
actress, who starred opposite Kirsten Dunst in the 2000
movie, made sure she matched her birthday cake – a vanilla and
chocolate-chip ice cream cake from Baskin Robbins with a cheerleader on top.
R&B group Troop performed for Union's 300 guests, who were asked to bring
books and school supplies to be donated to a local elementary school.
• She's becoming a fixture on the scene! Amanda Bynes, dancing the night away at Crown Bar in West Hollywood. Sporting a
black tank and tight leopard-print skirt, the starlet and her usual crew of
three girlfriends kept moving to songs like Britney Spears' "Womanizer." Also at the club: Jesse McCartney, enjoying
a rather quiet night with his guy friends.
• Adrien Brody, dining with Simon Rex at LAVO, the
restaurant inside of The Palazzo in Las Vegas. The famous friends were
joined at their meal with two other male companions. "[Adrien] was
in town doing a photo shoot," a source says.

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz traded her stylish maternity wardrobe for trailer-park chic Friday night, at a costume party to celebrate her 24th birthday.
"It had a white-trash theme," says a guest who attended the bash at Simpson's parents' home in Encino. "Ashlee wore Daisy Dukes and platform flip-flops with a bathing suit and a fake tattoo around her belly."
The singer celebrated with friends and family including husband Pete Wentz, dad Joe and sister Jessica.
"Joe wore a cut-off muscle T-shirt and a mullet wig. It was funny," says a guest. "Jessica was wearing a crazy leopard-print dress that showed off a lot of cleavage."The menu included corn dogs, macaroni and cheese, chicken fingers and French fries.
With her first child due next month, an exhausted Simpson-Wentz headed home early, missing party guests Christina Aguilera, Nicole Richie and Joel Madden, who dropped by after hitting Gwen Stefani's birthday party earlier than night.
"Ashlee loves themed parties and costumes," says a friend. Last year, guests sported prom dresses, vintage tuxedos and fingerless gloves as Simpson-Wentz celebrated her birthday with an '80s bash.

Said the pal, "They don't mind what sex it is. Jamie would prefer a boy if pushed but whatever appears in April, they will be delighted."
The couple have been married for eight years.
They have two girls, Poppy Honey, 6, and Daisy Boo, 5.

British celebrity chef Jamie Oliver and his wife Jools are expecting their third child, PEOPLE has confirmed.
"Jamie and his wife Jools are over the moon with the news," says Oliver's rep. "The due date is in April."
Oliver, known in the U.S. for his cooking show The Naked Chef, and his wife Juliette (who goes by Jools) already have two daughters, Poppy, 6, and Daisy, 5.
The couple, both 33, first met during high school in Essex, England and married in 2000. Chef Oliver cooked the wedding banquet. Amid writing successive cookbooks, in 2004 Oliver turned the heat up on the unhealthy food given to schoolchildren in Britain, resulting in a countrywide overhaul of lunchtime menus.

After eight years of silence, Meg Ryan is finally opening up about her failed marriage to Dennis Quaid and the reason for their shocking split.
In 2000, Ryan, now 46, famously had a fling with her Proof of Life co-star Russell Crowe; the affair ended her marriage to Quaid (with whom she has a son, Jack, 16).

But she tells the new issue of InStyle (excerpted by Entertainment Tonight), "Dennis was not faithful to me for a very long time, and that was very painful.
"I found out more about that after I was divorced," she adds.

She also says being dubbed "America's Sweetheart" was stifling at the time.
"It's an old-fashioned idea, so anachronistic. I understood it was a compliment about being lovable, and it felt nice ... but it also felt, after a time, like ideas were being projected onto me that had nothing to do with me," she says.
"The girl next door to what?" she continues. "I never felt like a very conventional person."
So she says she purposely chose to take a break from the public spotlight.
"I've been famous for a long time, and these last years, there's been a great lull," she says. "So it has been me throwing a backpack on, traveling a lot -- it's been fantastic."
She found something special along the way: Daughter Daisy, a baby girl from China, whom she adopted three years ago.

"I don't feel like I adopted a child. I feel like I just got this unbelievable companion," Ryan tells the magazine. "Daisy is brilliant. This kid says things every day that make you just stop and stare at her."

Meg Ryan says going from being "America's sweetheart" to the "scarlet woman" was painful but liberating.
The 46-year-old actress, who can currently be seen on screen in The Women, opens up in the October issue of In Style about her affair with Proof of Life costar Russell Crowe and problems she was having with then-husband Quaid, which led to their divorce.
"Dennis was not faithful to me for a long time, and that was very painful," she says, adding, "I am not a victim. I was there. I was in that marriage for a really long time.""It was also incredibly liberating," she tells the magazine of the public split. "Now I was utterly free. I didn’t have to care about what people thought. I have gotten to do what I guess I secretly wanted to do. Be totally under the radar and live my life."
Also free – from blame – is Crowe, she says. The two were romantically involved at the end her marriage, but "Russell didn’t break up the marriage," she says. "I was a mess. I hurt him too at the end. I couldn’t be in another long relationship. It wasn’t the time for that. So I got out."
Ryan says she's enjoyed being out of the spotlight for the past few years, taking time to raise son Jack, 16, and daughter Daisy, whom she adopted from China in 2006.
"As mysterious and magical as it is to have a baby you gave birth to, I have that exact same thing with Daisy," Ryan says. "I feel like we made some agreement, long ago and far away, to meet in the way we did."

Jessica Simpson just notched her first No.-1 country album – but she also wants to give herself props having Tony Romo as the love of her life.
"Tony is a great quarterback, but he's a better boyfriend," Simpson, 28, told PEOPLE at a Nina's Night Out, a benefit for the Rape Crisis Center at the Palms Casino Resort's Pearl Theatre in Las Vegas on Thursday. "I'm seriously proud of myself for letting him into my life."
Romo "was my Monday this week," joked Simpson, in reference to her song about him, "You're My Sunday," and the Dallas Cowboys' huge win over the Philadelphia Eagles on ESPN's Monday Night Football a few days ago. The NFL star is also someone else's hero: He recently stopped to help a couple change their flat tire in Texas Sept. 7.
"Through all the chaos and torment and everything I go through, I can lay in his arms and finally rest," she added.
Having her cuddled up next to him isn't always such a relief, admitted Simpson.
"To be my man, you have to put up with a lot," said the singer. "I toot under the sheets, I spend a lot of money and I can belch the ABC's."
On Forgetting LyricsDuring her 70-minute set featuring her album, Do You Know, which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's country music chart this week, Simpson forgot the lyrics to one of her best-known pop songs, "With You."
"I did the same thing on Good Morning America," said an apologetic Simpson, referring to her tech-challenged TV spot before starting the song over again.
Afterwards, she said, "I've been singing that song for about 70 years and I forgot the lyrics. At least you guys knew them."
Simpson continues her hectic promotional schedule, when she performs this weekend at the Los Angeles County Fair in Pomona, Calif.
"I've been to 12 states in the past week," she said. "I'm exhausted, but it's worth it. I can't believe I have the No. 1 album in country right now."

• Fergie, making a new friend as she checked into
the Hotel Monaco in Seattle. In town to perform at the Puyallup Fair &
Events Center, "she walked into the lobby," an observer tells us, "and was
making a beeline for the elevator, but then she stopped at the concierge desk
when she saw a dog walking through." Fergie then ran
over to pet the pooch. "It was cute," the observer says. "She was actually
'oohing' and 'ahhing.'"
• Jessica Simpson, making a brief (and accidental)
foray into political territory – literally. The singer and her
entourage (including, of course, maltipoo Daisy) crossed paths with John McCain and his own entourage at the Tampa International Airport, in an
area reserved for private planes and charter flights. Simpson
and the Republican presidential candidate never interacted, but the newly
minted country star was being followed by a video camera.
• After spending Fashion Week in New York, Hilary Swank returned to Los Angeles to focus on her own image. The Oscar winner
swung by Neil George Salon to dye her hair back from blonde to her natural
brown. "She couldn't wait to get back to brunette," a source tells us.
(Swank, of course, colored and cropped her hair for her role as Amelia
Earhart in the biopic Amelia.) In total, the process took about four
hours, and when Swank was finished she snuck out the front door, all bundled
up.
• Lauren Conrad, advertising her own collection
with a badge while eating breakfast at the Coterie trade show in New York.
Days before her Big Apple trip, the Hills star was spotted at
Dame Elizabeth Taylor's favorite haunt, West Hollywood's The Abbey, where she posed for pictures
with fans.
• After a big New York premiere, Ugly Betty castmembers
America Ferrera, Vanessa Williams, Becki Newton and Eric Mabius continued the celebration at Highbar in New York.
But they had a surprise guest star at the party – Lindsay Lohan, who also arrived on the red carpet at the event. She
briefly visited the bash, sipping Shirley Temples, bouncing to the music and chatting with some
friends.

Common's show – with opening act N.E.R.D. – at
the Wiltern in Los Angeles. ... Jewel, walking through the lobby

Mark Ronson, the DJ music producer and brother of Lindsay Lohan's gal pal Samantha Ronson, has split from his girlfriend, model Daisy Lowe, PEOPLE has confirmed.
Reps for Lowe and Ronson declined to give a reason why the pair ended their relationship after about six months.
Lowe, 19, has returned to London for a week of fashion shows. She was seen with Ronson last week at a bash to celebrate his 33rd birthday at a country home in Buckinghamshire, in the English countryside. But they parted in New York where she was working at the city's fashion week, and where Ronson has a home. Ronson, who has produced hits for Amy Winehouse and Lily Allen, was seen out in London on Sunday night at a party to mark Winehouse's 25th birthday.
Lowe discovered four years ago her biological father was rock star (and now husband to Gwen Stefani), Gavin Rossdale, not the man named on her birth certificate. Rossdale had had a brief relationship with her mother, Pearl, in 1988.

Elizabeth Taylor made a low-key return to public life Thursday night with a trip to her favorite watering hole.
In the film legend's first known appearance since she was hospitalized last month, Taylor headed to The Abbey, a popular West Hollywood gay bar.
"She was lively. She was laughing and she was smiling," said one onlooker. "Even if she was not as strong as the last time she was here, she was once again the life of her small party." Rumors about Taylor's ill health swirled over this summer, with one tabloid reporting that the 76-year-old was on life support. But her publicist denied the claims, calling them "dramatic, overstated and untrue." (Last month, a friend told PEOPLE that Taylor was out of the hospital and "busier than ever".)
Back at the Abbey, the actress held court in a corner of the bar with a sizable martini and four friends (one of whom held Daisy, her Maltese dog).
Before she was wheeled outside, an assistant placed a pair of rhinestone sunglasses on the ever-stylish star.
"She needed help getting into the car," says the witness. "As [they] drove away in this gigantic black sedan, all you could see was those sunglasses and a big smile on her face."

Meg Ryan never got a happy ending like her romantic comedy characters.

"It's very difficult to be a career person and have a relationship," she tells Hello magazine. "I didn't succeed at doing it at all. It's incredibly hard.
"I think you have to figure out some way of keeping all of those capabilities and requirements in your life in balance," the 46-year-old adds.

Ryan split from Dennis Quaid, whom she'd been married to for 10 years, after having an affair with Proof of Life co-star Russell Crowe in 2000.
But that relationship soon fizzled.

"I empowered myself by not staying in the thing with Russell," she said in 2006. "I felt it was going to be repeating some similar patterns that I'd just gotten out of and it was a drag because I was crazy about him."
Ryan later told Oprah Winfrey that, "Russell wasn't a homewrecker," because her relationship with Quaid was already on the outs before she got involved with him.
The actress, who appears in The Women next month, has been lying low.
She adopted daughter Daisy True, 3, from China two years ago. She's also mother to Jack Henry, 15, from her marriage to Quaid.

(McDreamy was waiting for lunch guests to arrive – and Jones happened to be sitting at a neighboring table.) During their "moment," the two chatted about Dempsey's children and the talk-show host's recent vacation. Jones then returned to her table, and Dempsey's two male friends arrived. On the menu for the Grey's Anatomy star: chicken satay, lettuce wraps and dumplings.
• Victoria and David Beckham, double-dating with fellow Brit Gordon Ramsey and his wife Tana at Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica. When they arrived, though, the friends' table wasn't exactly ready. "They had to wait . . . for a good 10 minutes," a fellow diner tells us. "But it didn't seem to bother them." And there was no way the high-profile group was going unnoticed: A big bodyguard shielded them as they waited in front of the bathroom until it was time to sit.
• Penélope Cruz, sporting a sparkler on her left index finger inside a dinner at New York's Hotel Plaza Athénée following the Manhattan premiere of Vicky Cristina Barcelona. While Cruz's costar (and real-life beau) Javier Bardem was at the event, the two kept their distance, even sitting at different tables temporarily. Later in the night, Bardem joined Cruz at her table, putting his arm around her and even kissing her at one point.
• Jessica Simpson, making a pit stop in Chicago for lunch before heading to the Indiana State Fair for a scheduled performance. The newly minted country singer ate at the Windy City's Rockit Bar & Grill with two pals – and spent a good deal of time e-mailing on her BlackBerry. While in Chicago, the singer checked into The James, a boutique hotel, where she, her pooch Daisy and an assistant checked into the swanky penthouse. The ladies treated themselves to luxe room service.
• Chris Noth, flipping through the New York Post on the W subway train. Mr. Big sipped Starbucks coffee – and was glued to gossip column Page Six.
