• Nicole Richie, "having a blast" during a family shopping outing at L.A.'s outdoor mall The Grove with daughter Harlow, 11 months, and Joel Madden. "Nicole was holding Harlow and Joel was pushing the empty stroller," an onlooker says. The threesome shopped at Barneys New York, but also stopped to watch the water fountain show. "Harlow was laughing and they were helping her stand up and dance on the ledge," the onlooker adds.
• Also in the shopping spirit: Reese Witherspoon, who visited the Elyse Walker store in Los Angeles. The actress spent almost $1,000 during her spree and picked up, among other things, a black Geren Ford top and a navy Ihabit sweater.
• Nicolette Sheridan, grabbing lunch with a girlfriend at one of her favorite haunts, Katsuya Glendale in L.A. The Desperate Housewives star ate yellowtail jalapeño and sashimi selections and sipped a watermelon martini. "They chatted and had a great time in a private booth," says an onlooker.
Ashley Olsen, mingling with fellow young designers at the Boston Institute of Contemporary Art's ICA 360 evening, honoring American fashion innovators. There to represent her line, the Row, the fashionista chatted with aspiring designers, posed for pictures and toured the museum with her peers.
• Prince, taking in salsa night at new LA Live hot spot the Conga Room. The singer brought some friends to check out the music with him, and the party took over a table in the back for the evening. Also there: Jessica Alba's pal, and L.A. Clippers star, Baron Davis.
• Evan Rachel Wood, dining at L.A.'s Melrose Bar and Grill with her Wrestler costars including Marisa Tomei and Mickey Rourke. The actress ate a duck burger and steak, while Rourke enjoyed the Mediterranean platter with pita.

She broke up with Marilyn Manson last month, but Evan Rachel Wood insists she's not ready to wade back into the dating pool.
"I'm not really looking for any kind of guy now," she told PEOPLE Monday night at the premiere of her new film, The Wrestler. "I just got a new boy cat. He's the only man in my life right now."
What's his name? "Nicodemus, after the king of the rats in the Secret of NIMH," said the actress (who recently denied rumors linking her to costar Mickey Rourke). A cat named after the King of the Rats. He's all I need right now." Wood also had nothing but kind words for her rocker ex – and says she has no regrets about the relationship.
"I've learned so much about myself and even had deal with the outside world," she added. "I'm just so much stronger. ... I'm ready for the next chapter."

Despite splitting with Marilyn Manson, Evan Rachel Wood says the rocker still holds a place in her heart.
"I'm always going to love him and respect him," she told Usmagazine.com Sunday at Hollywood Life's Behind the Camera Awards in Hollywood.
Asked how she is feeling, she told reporters, "I'm doing fine, you know, as best as can be expected."
Do these stars look better after breakup?
She denied reports that they called it quits after Manson kicked her brother Ira out of his guest house.
"You know, it's not the nasty thing everybody thinks it is," she said. "We've both got incredible things going on right now. He's making an amazing album - I've heard some of it, and he should be very proud of it.
"You know, I've got [the upcoming drama] The Wrestler going on, and I'm focusing on that," she added.
Of the split, she said, "It's not a bad thing. It's life - it happens.
"But now, it's like the story that comes right after the breakup [is]: Who am I dating now?" she said. "So right now, I'm just enjoying being on my own. It's just not in the cards right now."
She denied reports that she is romancing Mickey Rourke, her co-star in The Wrestler.

"Everybody thinks we're dating, and we're not. Spread the word - I’m not dating Mickey Rourke!" she said. "You know, we developed a close friendship. He’s a great guy, a talented guy. He's been through it all, and [we had] such intense shoots, I think, because we played father and daughter [in The Wrestler]. I think he's just kind of trying to take me under his wing."

Gossip Web sites are abuzz with sightings of the newly single Evan Rachel Wood and Mickey Rourke, her much older costar in The Wrestler. But the actress – who split from rocker Marilyn Manson last month – wants the world to know that they're just friends.
"Spread the word – I'm not dating Mickey Rourke," Wood told PEOPLE at Sunday's Hollywood Life 3rd annual Behind the Camera Awards in Hollywood. "Everybody thinks we're dating and we're not."
That's a sentiment the 21-year-old actress reiterated in an exclusive statement to PEOPLE: "Mickey and I bonded while shooting The Wrestler and we became friends, but nothing more. I guess, because of my recent break up, I will be linked to many people, but I am not interested in pursuing a relationship at this point in my life. Any such rumor should not be taken seriously."She continued, "We are proud of the film we made together and I hope people will focus on the film and not get distracted by any nonsense."
Rourke, 56, also denied the so-called romance. When asked Saturday if they two had begun dating, he told PEOPLE, "No, no. I'm a big fan of hers and she's a big fan of mine." (Although the costars – along with the rest of The Wrestler cast – were in Las Vegas Saturday, Wood did not join Rourke at Tao's three-year anniversary party.)
Rumor ControlIt's been a tough few days of rumor control for Wood, who, on Friday, also refuted gossip surrounding her breakup.
"Manson and I both decided to take some time apart so we could concentrate on work," the actress told PEOPLE at the time, addressing stories that they'd fought bitterly about her brother. "Someone used that opportunity to kick us while we were down and sell a completely false story."
On Sunday, Wood insisted she's coping well with the split.
"It's not the nasty thing everybody thinks it is. I'm doing fine, as best as can be expected ...," she said. "Right now, I'm just enjoying being on my own."

Evan Rachel Wood is sick of the false reports circulating about why she and Marilyn Manson broke up.
"Manson and I both decided to take some time apart so we could concentrate on work. Someone used that opportunity to kick us while we were down and sell a completely false story," the actress, 21, explains in a statement exclusively to PEOPLE.
Stories of the couple splitting in a bitter fight over Wood's brother Ira, who had been living with the pair, getting kicked out of the guest house by Manson, 39, started popping up this week."Manson owns the house he lives in. My brother has never stayed there and the person that said such horrible things about Manson being 'controlling' and 'emotionally abusive' is certainly no source 'close' to me," Woods says. "Manson has been by my side and taken care of me through the best and worst times. I love him as a person and as an artist. I will always be proud to have been a part of that.
"If any more attacks are made on us, it is the act of a desperate, selfish person, who is angry to no longer be a part of my life. No further comment will be made and we request our privacy at this time."
Manson and Wood began dating in December 2006.

| BRAD PITT TO MAKE FIRST POST-TWINS APPEARANCE IN VENICE NEXT MONTH Blog |
Brad Pitt is expected to make his first public appearance next month since welcoming Knox and Vivienne.
The actor's new Coen Brothers' crime comedy Burn After Reading — co-starring George Clooney — will open the 65th Venice Film Festival on August 27.
The movie is about two gym employees who find a CIA agent's memoirs on a disk and try to sell it.

Anne Hathaway is expected to attend to promote Rachel Getting Married. The comedy centers on an ex-model who returns home for her sister's wedding after spending 10 years in-and-out of rehab.

Also expected: Marisa Tomei, Mickey Rourke and Evan Rachel Wood for The Wrestler and "Us cad" Ralph Fiennes, who stars in the Iraq war drama The Hurt Locker.

How do you say "star-struck" in Italian?
George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Anne Hathaway and Charlize Theron are among the celebrities expected on the red carpet at this year's Venice Film Festival.
The 65th annual festival opens August 27 with the out-of-competition premiere of Joel and Ethan Coen's Burn After Reading, starring Coen favorite Clooney and his pal Pitt. (The pair also appeared at last year's festival, with Clooney memorably debuting then-girlfriend Sarah Larson.)
Next month's festival is expected to be Pitt's first major public event since the birth of his twins with Angelina Jolie. The newly single Hathaway – who appeared at the 2006 festival with The Devil Wears Prada – is expected to be there to promote Rachel Getting Married, a film about an ex-model who's been in and out of rehab for 10 years, then comes home for her sister's wedding.
Other American films at the festival: The Wrestler, starring Marisa Tomei, Mickey Rourke and Evan Rachel Wood; The Burning Plain, with Theron and Kim Basinger; and The Hurt Locker, an Iraq war drama featuring Ralph Fiennes.
