They're just nice guys! The New Kids on the Block – Joey McIntyre, Jonathan Knight, Jordan Knight, Danny Wood and Donnie Wahlberg – greeting fans, signing autographs and snapping pictures outside
their Chicago hotel. The group stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel during their
Windy City tour stop, and were equally sweet with the hotel staff. Another
sweet spot, according to a source: The guys also loved the mini-bars in
their rooms and snacked on candy during their stay.
Lindsay Lohan, heading backstage to meet Foreigner with girlfriend Samantha Ronson before the band's show
at the House of Blues Sunset in Hollywood. After their meet-and-greet, the
couple watched the show, totally transfixed, from an upstairs VIP perch,
where the pair sipped sodas and quietly sang along with the band.
Also in a musical mood: American Idol champ
David Cook, laughing it up with friends before Timbaland's show at the House of Blues in West Hollywood. The singer (who
sported a porkpie hat) arrived at the show early and made a beeline for the
bar, according to an onlooker.
Daniel Craig, checking out the Oasis gig at
London's Roundhouse Theatre. While the James Bond star may have
wanted to go incognito at the show – which was part of the BBC Electric
Proms – his cover was blown by Noel Gallagher, who singled
him out from the stage. According to a
source, Craig "looked very uncomfortable" – shaken and stirred – by the shout-out. Also on the VIP balcony: Russell Brand, who was
also called out by Gallagher.
Gerard Butler, making the women swoon with his sexy
karaoke rendition of the Doors' "Light My Fire" during an afterparty for the
Savannah College of Art and Design's 11th Annual Savannah Film Festival.
"He's a great singer," says a partygoer. "The women there couldn't get
enough of him." And the RocknRolla star loves the ladies back.
During his time at the festival, Butler met a Savannah resident and gave her
his phone number!
A black-clad Gwyneth Paltrow, sipping French
martinis with a male pal at New York's Rose Club at the Plaza after
midnight.
Michelle Williams, reading a book of poetry on
the subway in New York. The actress carried two shopping bags and read
during the whole ride before jumping off in her Brooklyn neighborhood.

Hilary Duff, sharing a sisters' night out with older sib Haylie at Teddy's inside the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. The starlet and her sister – plus several friends – made an energetic arrival, and stayed revved up all night: Hilary danced provocatively to Britney Spears's new single, "Womanizer," and offered her girlfriends little lapdances, an onlooker tells us. And the sisters were in for the long haul, talking and dancing until the club closed. Also there: Frankie Delgado and Doug Reinhart. Kirsten Dunst, celebrating her friend Molly's birthday at Las Vegas's TAO Asian Bistro with champagne toasts, sushi and Kobe beef after hanging out the night before at Lavo. The actress surprised her pal with a cute round cake, which they dove into at the table. Full from dinner, they couldn't finish the dessert and took it back to their rooms for later.
Shanna Moakler, stealing a snuggle with Gerard Butler at the opening of Shin Korean BBQ in Hollywood. For much of the evening, the two – who know each other and are friendly, sources confirm – were spotted hanging out separately. Butler was mostly socializing with his male friends at the party, singing along to "Sweet Home Alabama" and, at one point, tending bar for partygoers. Later, though, the pair met up and "they were flirting innocently," a source tells us.
Ryan Seacrest, perching in a luxury suite to watch the L.A. Dodgers play the Philadelphia Phillies at L.A.'s Dodger Stadium. The American Idol host was with two women and "arrived early and bought some gear at a souvenir store," says an observer. Ever the worker bee, Seacrest was spotted typing away on his BlackBerry during key moments of the game. The night before, he held court at his regular table at Hollywood's Beso for a pal's birthday dinner at the restaurant, which he partially owns (along with Eva Longoria Parker). The Idol host even joined in a rousing rendition of "Happy Birthday." Wonder how Simon would rate his performance?
Rachael Ray, feeding her husband John Cusimano a Godiva mousse dessert, followed by a kiss on the lips at her Burger Bash event in Brooklyn.

SHANNA MOAKLER AND GERARD BUTLER GET COZY AT HOLLYWOOD CLUB Blog
New couple alert?
Shanna Moakler and Gerard Butler were photographed getting cozy at the Hollywood opening of Shin nightclub on Monday.
Throughout the night, Butler also served guests drinks behind the bar.
At one point, a patron told him, "Thanks," and he said, "I have no idea what the f--k I'm doing."
Both did not talk to press.
Can you believe these couples once hooked up?
When asked if he's taken any ladies to lunch lately, Butler recently joked with Usmagazine.com, "Oh, you know, Jennifer Aniston, Cameron Diaz, Julia Roberts, Cindy Crawford – and I may even get together with a single one."
His flirty behavior with Moakler comes days after her ex, Travis Barker, blogged that she hasn't visited him in the hospital in L.A.

Hayden Panettiere and Milo Ventimiglia, dining in the living room of West Hollywood's Chateau Marmont at a dinner party for new Web site Talenthouse.com. The Heroes costars (and real-life couple) stopped into the curtained-off dinner early in the evening – and while they avoided being photographed together, they sure were affectionate. Panettiere sat on her beau's lap, and the two held hands before the meal was served, an onlooker tells us.
And the dinner party was teeming with celebrity couples: Paris Hilton and Benji Madden grabbed a table near the open bar, and Hilton sat between her boyfriend and music mogul Russell Simmons, who kept the heiress laughing all night. While Hilton was game for dinner – feasting on arugula and spinach salad, beef and mashed potatoes – she took one bite of the lemon bar and brownie desserts, and then put them back on the tray. Meanwhile, Hilton's sister Nicky attended with beau David Katzenberg, and Sacha Baron Cohen stopped in later with Isla Fisher. The pair ate on the garden patio, but later joined the party, sitting on a couch and chatting with friends.
In New York for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, Uma Thurman, hanging backstage at the W Suite before the Diane von Furstenberg show with fiancé Arpad "Arki" Busson. The couple stuck close to the bar for a while, sipping mimosas and trying on paper 3D glasses that split the room into prisms. The couple eventually retreated to a corner booth for some privacy. Also backstage: Jennifer Lopez, who also sipped a mimosa and, later, got chatty with Rosario Dawson when the two were asked to stand next to each other to pose for pictures. (See all the latest sightings from Fashion Week!)
An elegant Keira Knightley, laughing and chatting with a male friend during a party at the Park Hyatt in Toronto. The actress wore a dark dress and her hair down in loose curls at the party, which also drew out Gerard Butler, who shared a loud, jovial conversation with a male pal on the smoking patio.
Hilary Duff, eating dinner at The Stork in Los Angeles. The starlet dined with a large group – and looked like she was having a blast, an onlooker tells us. Later in the night, new Dancing with the Stars contestant Lance Bass arrived at The Stork's club with two friends in tow. Bass grabbed a drink, and settled in for a low-key time with his friends, just chatting and observing the scene in the club.
Mitt Romney, shopping with his wife at West Side Kids, a toy store on New York's Upper West Side. The politician looked at Benjamin Franklin and Thomas Jefferson dolls – then headed to brunch at Good Enough to Eat.

GUY RITCHIE: ASK MADONNA IF WE'LL HAVE MORE KIDS Blog
Is another baby on the way for Guy Ritchie and Madonna?
"You'll have to speak to her about that," he told reporters at the London premiere of his new action flick RocknRolla (out October 31) on Monday. "She makes those decisions."
Months after denying split rumors, the usually reserved Ritchie happily fielded a slew of questions on their relationship — from collaborating on movies to celebrating his 40th birthday together.
He told reporters he "loved" her Sticky & Sweet world tour, but admitted "it's hard, obviously. There's a big ocean in the way sometimes, but we try and do our best."
Ritchie — whose past films, Revolver and Swept Away weren't well-received — is getting good buzz for RocknRolla, starring Gerard Butler. (See why Madonna once told Gerard Butler to drop his pants.)
Whose opinion matters the most?
Madonna's, of course.
"I listen to what my wife has to say," he said. "I don't sniff at her creative opinions. I value them."
He said he lets her weigh in "at a very late stage. I'm actually very sensitive to how she feels about these things. So I wait a long time - until I have put enough polish on it, so I am not too embarrassed."
Next up for the duo: Ritchie's 40th birthday on September 10.
What is the Material Girl getting him?
"I don't know — gimme suggestions!" he begged reporters.
A new horse?
"The missus loves horses, but actually I'm scared of horses," he told Usmagazine.com. "I run away, I've never been able to get over that horse thing."
What if she surprises him with, say, a new car?
"If she buys a fast car, she will not be a driver in it!" he said. "No way will Madonna drive a fast car! She is an appalling driver."
Look back at Madonna's most controversial moments.

THE POLICE: OVER AND OUT Blog
The Police are no more.
Last night's Madison Square Garden performance was the final show of the band's reunion tour – and, appropriately enough, New York's finest were onstage too.
Wearing a NYPD hat and badge, Sting rocked out on his battered bass guitar while members of the New York City Police Department Band played backup for the trio.Celeb guests arriving at MSG included Emmy Rossum, Gerard Butler, Rosanna Arquette and her daughter. After the show, Debbie Harry, Bruce Springsteen and his wife Patti Scialfi hung out backstage.
The concert – which doubled as a fundraiser for Public Television Rocks! benefiting local stations Thirteen/WNET and WLIW21 – also featured a guest appearance by The B-52s.
Along with the benefit proceeds, eBay is auctioning off instruments belonging to Sting and his bandmates, Andy Summers and Stewart Copeland, to help out the two stations.
But don't fret if you want more of the Police: Sting revealed on his Web site that the band filmed Spectacle: Elvis Costello with The Police at Harlem's historic Apollo Theatre.
The trio teamed up with fellow Englishman Costello to do a Jimi Hendrix song, as well as the pop singer's "Watching The Detectives" and the Police's "Walking on The Moon."
The concert is slated to air later this year.

GERARD BUTLER: MADONNA TOLD ME TO "DROP MY PANTS" Blog
Justin Timberlake's not the only guy who's had to drop trou for Madonna .
At a press conference Thursday for Guy Ritchie's new action flick RocknRolla, actor Gerard Butler revealed: "I got in a B-12 shot in my a-- by..."
"My wife!" Ritchie interrupted.
See photos of Madonna's past and present loves.
"Yeah, I got a shot from his wife Madonna!" said Butler. "I was sick, and she was a nurse basically.
"Guy introduced me to her and she said, 'You're the sick one?' and I said, 'Yes,'" Butler recalled.
"Well, she was amazing. She just said, 'Drop your pants,'" Butler added. "I stood there with my little bottom out, and she gave me a shot in the bum!"
While some claim the shots help in the production of red blood cells and boosting energy, others like Dr. Michael Karp of the University of Southern California tell Us, "there's not a lot of science behind that."
And Butler would agree.
"It didn't work at all — I got more sick!" the actor said. "But I appreciated the effort."

GUY RITCHIE: MY MARRIAGE TO MADONNA IS FINE Blog
All's well with the marriage of Guy Ritchie and Madonna, the film director tells PEOPLE – "as far as I'm aware of," he added with a smile.
A relaxed and cheerful Ritchie, 39, joined the cast of his upcoming directorial effort RocknRolla on Thursday afternoon at the San Diego International Comic-Con.
Joined by his film's costars Gerard Butler, Jeremy Piven and Chris "Ludacris" Bridges to show scenes and sign autographs, Ritchie also spoke about how being married to the pop icon – whom he referenced only as "my wife" – had allowed him to look at his hometown of London with fresh eyes. "I was born there and I've seen it change and I know a great deal about it, I'm invested," the director said. "I live vicariously through my wife, so I was once a spy and now I've become a tourist, and it's much more fun to live in London as a tourist than it is as a spy."
He further observed, "Someone told me the definition was a spy always looks for the bad stuff, and a tourist always looks for the good stuff. So that makes it easy, being married to an American."
After spending time with Madonna, 49, in New York City – where the two faced intense speculation about the status of their marriage and she is rehearsing for her upcoming Sticky & Sweet tour – Ritchie headed to Los Angeles. There, he attended Kabbalah services and dined with Robert Downey Jr., who's set to star as Sherlock Holmes in a movie Ritchie will direct.
