Following her brief hospitalization that sidelined her for six shows, she resumes her "Rock Withchu Tour" Saturday in Uncasville, Connecticut.
"Janet, who has been under her doctor’s care and recuperating over the last week, is excited about getting back on the road and again being able to share with her fans what she feels is one of her best stage shows ever,"
promoter Live Nation said in a statement to Access Hollywood.

Janet Jackson, who recently postponed a string of shows due to an undisclosed illness, will resume her Rock Witchu Tour this weekend.
"Janet, who has been under her doctor's care and recuperating over the last week, is excited about getting back on the road and again being able to share with her fans what she feels is one of her best stage shows ever," says a statement from promoter Live Nation to Access Hollywood. Her first concert back will be on Saturday in Uncasville, Conn.The singer, 42, was forced to postpone shows in Montreal, Greensboro, N.C., Boston, Atlanta, Philadelphia and Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., following a brief hospitalization Sept. 29 in Montreal just hours before her concert was scheduled to start.
Doctors later advised her to rest until she was fully recuperated from her illness, causing her to postpone more shows.
Jackson kicked off her North American tour in Vancouver on Sept. 10.

The singer, 42, postponed a Saturday-night show in Greensboro, N.C., after a local doctor said it was "evident" she had not fully recovered, Jackson's publicist said.
Other shows put on hold were Sunday's in Atlanta and another on Tuesday in Fort Lauderdale. Jackson – who is on her first North American tour in seven years – previously canceled concerts in Boston and Philadelphia on Wednesday and Thursday.
A notice from the organizers of the Greensboro gig suggested fans "hold on to their tickets pending a future announcement regarding the rescheduled date."

Jackson, 42, cancelled her show in Montreal on Monday and was taken to the hospital after she "got suddenly ill" during her sound check, according to a statement from W&W Public Relations.
Further details of the singer's condition were not immediately available, and reps for Jackson did not return requests for additional comment.Jackson kicked off her Rock Witchu tour promoting her latest album, Discipline, in Vancouver on Sept. 10.
Jackson has complained of exhaustion, a source close to boyfriend Jermaine Dupri tells PEOPLE. "A 42-year-old body can't handle what a 22-year-old body can," says the source. "I can tell you that she's definitely tired. It was probably exhaustion. She is doing back-to-back, three-hour shows, and her body isn't the same as it used to be."
The same night that Jackson was rushed to the hospital, Dupri was spotted in New York City partying at Patron's Music in Motion Tour featuring TI at Marquee. "If [Janet's condition] was more serious he would've rushed to her side," added the source.
Jackson is due to perform in Boston Wednesday night.

After last Friday's devastating plane crash that killed four people and critically injured DJ AM and Travis Barker, Jermaine Dupri says his friend Barker is doing well.
"He's doing good, he's gonna be alright. He's just got a lot of healing to do," Dupri, who visited the former Blink 182 drummer in the hospital last Sunday, told PEOPLE exclusively Thursday night.
Dupri, who was celebrating his 36th birthday at Chicago's The Underground Nightclub after attending a concert by girlfriend Janet Jackson, said that Barker is also doing well emotionally.
"He's supposed to send a message out to everybody in a couple of days to let everybody know that he's feeling better," he said. "He's definitely feeling the love from everyone." Customized RoomBarker's improved spirits could be due to his newly outfitted hospital room: "He's just now getting everything in the hospital set up for him – iPods, computers, everything that he needs," says Dupri, who estimates Barker will be in the hospital another two weeks. "You got to make sure he is comfortable."
The music producer – and Barker's partner in the So So Def clothing line – said news of the crash put him in a state of shock. "I was at home, somebody called me early in the morning," he recalled. "It was kind of crazy and I didn't really comprehend what had happened."
Yet he says he has no doubt his friend will fully recover. "I think everything will be cool when I get back there [to see him]. He'll probably be up and talking crazy and all that – back to his old self."

Janet Jackson has terminated her relationship with her label, Island Records, her publicist announced Monday.
"At her request, the record label has agreed to dissolve their working relationship," the singer's rep said in a statement to PEOPLE. "Now more than 20 years after the release of her iconic album, Control, Janet will have autonomy over her career, without the restrictions of a label system."
A rep for Island Records had no comment. Jackson, 42, first discussed her label woes in June, when she told the hip hop Web site SOHH.com, "I'm trying to figure out a way to say this, but just to say it and to be quite honest, they just stopped all promotion whatsoever on the album, so I don't think you're going to hear another single off this album."
Concert Tour ContinuesAt the time, an Island Def Jam spokesperson told Billboard, "Unfortunately, we haven't experienced the results we would have liked with this new album. But we respect and support Janet."
Jackson was signed to Island Records in July 2007, and released her album Discipline, which debuted at No. 1, on the label in February.
Despite the break with Island, Jackson will continue to perform her Rock Witchu tour across North America.

| FRIEND REPORTS ON TRAVIS BARKER AFTER VISIT Blog |
Music producer Jermaine Dupri and Janet Jackson's boyfriend, visited Travis Barker in the hospital on Sunday.
"It's a seriously sad situation," Dupri tells Usmagazine.com. He's doing good... but I really hate to see my friends go through this."
Mandy Moore, who used to date DJ AM, was also spotted at the hospital today.
Barker and DJ AM suffered second and third degree burns from Friday's jet crash that killed four people, Dr. Fred Mullins, Medical Director at Georgia's Joseph Still Burn Center, announced at a press conference Sunday morning.
Barker has burns on his torso and lower body and Goldstein has burns on his arm and part of his head, Mullins said. (Mullins would not say the percentage of their bodies that were burned or whether they were conscious. He also did not go into detail about the type of treatment they are currently receiving.)
He said the two did not sustain any other injuries from the crash.
“I think these patients are going to make a full recovery,” Mullins said.
He added, “Anybody who can survive a plane crash is very lucky.”

Nearly two decades after Rhythm Nation, Janet Jackson got back into the groove.
The singer, 42, suffered no wardrobe malfunctions Wednesday, on the first stop of her North American Rock Witchu Tour at the GM Palace in Vancouver. Amid multiple costume changes, Jackson performed 30 hit songs, including "Control," "Let's Wait Awhile" and "Rhythm Nation."
Jackson got rave reviews. The show was a "reminder that she is a trend-setter in her own right, a true diva, and a marvelous performer," said the Vancouver Sun. According to Canadian reports, the Grammy winner's high-energy show – her first in six years – also featured a spicy S&M scene involving an audience member.
But "The most memorable moment of the show," writes Marsha Lederman of Canada's Globe and Mail, "came when Jackson, dressed in a gold and black glam hip hop-inspired track suit (and one gold glove) ... listened to the crowd roar its approval and became emotional – really emotional. We're talking tears. 'Thank you,' she said, seeming to really mean it, as she waved her hands, begging the audience to stop."
The Live Nation-produced tour hits the U.S. on Saturday in Oakland, Calif., and includes stops in Los Angeles, Dallas, Washington D.C., New York and Atlanta.

The Jackson family – missing their most famous member, Michael, as well as Jermaine – made a rare group appearance Thursday night to pick up a prestigious music-industry award.
As parents Katherine and Joseph Jackson smiled and applauded all during the show, Janet Jackson introduced brothers Tito, Randy, Jackie and Marlon as they received their Icon award at the 8th Annual BMI Urban Awards – and at one point, being overcome with emotion, had to pause to regain her composure.
"Family is the most important commodity that all of us have," she said after taking the stage as Ray J, Bobby Valentino, Mario, and Lloyd sang "Never Can Say Goodbye." "I am so proud to be able to salute my brothers," she said.
As she called off the names of each, the Jackson sister, 42, said, "I salute you for your talent and your musical gifts you've given the world. I tell you that every time we speak. I'm so excited to salute you!"
Once on stage, Randy, 46, recalled the heady days when the Jacksons' reigned over the music charts.
"We were just having fun," he said. "I remember doing my first performance, and my mom made me come home and wash dishes afterwards. I'll never forget that."
While Michael didn't make it to the event, his brothers offered their support for him and his upcoming album. "We haven't heard it, but we've heard about it," Randy told reporters. "It's going to be great."

Janet Jackson is getting into the "undies" business.
The singer — one of Us Weekly's weight winners — has partnered with Australian fashion designer Bruno Schiav to launch a line of lingerie called Pleasure Principle. (Her 1987 tune, "Pleasure Principle," inspired the name.)
The under $40 collection — featuring Chantilly lace and satin and rich colors like burgundy — offers various bra styles (demi cups to full coverage), with sizes from 32A to 44G.
"There's something for every woman, and that's very important to us," Jackson said at a press conference. "I've always hated when lingerie is uncomfortable, so the fit and comfort was key."
The singer says she was hands-on during designing — sometimes working until 4 a.m.
Said Jackson, "People have come to me with other ideas, but lingerie is a passion for me, and just like music and acting, I can't do it unless I put 100% into it."
Her line hits mass retailers in November.

Meet the season 12 cast of The View. Look familiar? Well, that's because it is.
Barbara Walters, Whoopi Goldberg, Sherri Shepherd, Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Joy Behar will all be back to co-host the ABC daytime show when it returns Sept. 2 after a summer hiatus. But, for the first time, the five ladies have been photographed together. (Remember, Shepherd was a late addition to season 11 – and was never part of any of the show's early photos.)
The photo shoot took place in New York – and the cohosts had plenty to do in between frames. The women danced to Tina Turner's hit "Proud Mary" and Janet Jackson tunes. (Shepherd is a huge Janet fan.)
Between takes Behar also worked on solving a New York Times crossword puzzle, while Shepherd caught up on e-mail and Goldberg practiced the music and script for her upcoming debut in Xanadu on Broadway.
