| ANDY SAMBERG TO HOST MTV MOVIE AWARDS Blog |
The 2009 MTV Movie Awards never take themselves too seriously, but this year may be the funniest yet. Saturday Night Live star Andy Samberg has been selected to host the show on May 31.
Now in their 18th year, the MTV awards are well known for their zany film parodies and outrageous antics. (Remember Will Ferrell's liplock with Sacha Baron Cohen?) Samberg's comedic styles should be a nice match for the awards, which present golden popcorn trophies in unconventional categories such as "best villain," "best action sequence" and "best kiss."
"I'm super excited to host the movie awards," says Samberg. "I grew up watching the show and a lot of the past hosts are heroes of mine. Plus, my friends and I were writers for the show prior to working at SNL, so it will be a sweet and satisfying homecoming. I can't wait to act really important."Samberg has some big shoes to fill. Previous hosts include Jessica Alba, Ben Stiller, Lindsay Lohan, Will Smith and Justin Timberlake.

| BREAKING NEWS: LINDSAY LOHAN'S ARREST WARRANT RECALLED Blog |
The warrant issued for Lindsay Lohan on Friday was recalled Monday in court.
In a quick hearing in L.A., Lohan's lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, showed proof that Lohan had been complying with the terms of her probation stemming from a 2007 DUI arrest, her second, including attending alcohol classes. The actress, 22, was not present.

"Lindsay Lohan has been complying with aspects of the program," Judge Marsha Nevel said, adding that they're had been "no dirty [drug] tests."
Lohan will enroll in a new alcohol and drug program; her attorney will provide proof by April 3.
The judge also asked that the court be notified of any future issues "so that things won't go out of control."
Outside of the courthouse, Holley told Us: "This is much ado about nothing. It was a misunderstanding and we have cleared it up."
Holley added that the warrant was difficult for Lohan to deal with "while she knew she has been doing everything right."

On Friday, a Beverly Hills judge issued the warrant stemming from the DUI conviction. Her attorney said it was "born out of a misunderstanding."

According to reports, Lohan failed to show at three alcohol education classes within a 21-day period. TMZ.com reports that Lohan was excused from two classes, and couldn't attend the third because the paparazzi made it impossible for her.

| JUDGE DISMISSES LINDSAY LOHAN'S ARREST WARRANT Blog |
Lindsay Lohan is no longer wanted by police.
A Beverly Hills judge removed an arrest warrant Monday after Lohan's attorney provided proof to the court in the judge's chambers that the star has been compliant with her alcohol education classes. Lohan did not appear in court.
"The warrant is quashed and set aside," Judge Marsha Revel said. "I've seen additional proof ... that Lohan has been compliant with [her] program. There is no indication of dirty [drug] tests." The judge also ordered that Lohan show new proof of enrollment by April 3.
On Friday, the court had issued a $50,000 arrest warrant for the actress, which her lawyer said was "born out of a misunderstanding."
"This was all much to do about nothing," Lohan's attorney Shawn Chapman Holley said following the hearing Monday. "[Lohan] has satisfied all the conditions of her probation, and I have every expectation that she'll successfully complete those terms."Chapman explained that a miscommunication with the court occurred "when she had been in one program but left that program" for another due to a "personality conflict."
"It was just a misunderstanding," Holley added. "She's been doing everything right."
Following a wild night out in Hollywood on Friday, in which Lohan, 22, ended up visiting the home of actor Jack Nicholson, the actress holed up at girlfriend Samantha Ronson's house all weekend.
On Saturday, a loud disturbance was heard at Ronson's house, which led to a window breaking, which sources say was due to a fight between the couple. Police eventually arrived after callers complained of the crush of paparazzi that had gathered outside.
Lohan is currently serving a three-year probation term for her second DUI conviction, in August 2007.

Lindsay Lohan is a wanted woman.
The Beverly Hills Superior Court issued an arrest warrant for the actress Friday stemming from her 2007 DUI and hit-and-run case, the Beverly Hills police confirm. Lohan is currently serving a three-year probation term for her second DUI conviction.
"A warrant was in fact issued Friday for the arrest of Lindsay Lohan," a police statement read. "The circumstances leading to the issuance by the court are not readily available at this time. It is our hope that Ms. Lohan will surrender herself so this matter can be resolved in at timely manner."
Lohan was spotted Friday night at the Chateau Marmont with friends. Attempts to locate her lawyer and reach her PR rep have so far been unsuccessful.

The country music star might have performed at the Grammys and dated a Jonas brother, but she still asserts that she's leading a pretty sheltered life.
In the March issue of Rolling Stone, Swift says she's never had a cigarette or a drop of alcohol and still lives with her parents -- in her childhood bedroom.
As for sex? Don't even ask.
"I feel like whatever you say about whether you do or don't, it makes people picture you naked," she says. "And as much as possible, I'm going to avoid that. It's self-preservation, really."
She added: "I feel like Miley [Cyrus], Selena [Gomez] and Demi [Lovato] are my age," she says. "It's crazy, I always forget that they're 16."

And although Swift admits to at one time being fascinated by celebrities such as Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan, she vows never to go down that path.

Lindsay Lohan admits she has lost some weight lately but tells Usmagazine.com "it's not intentional."
"I eat. I had my Big Mac yesterday from McDonald's," she told Us Sunday at the Matthew Williamson NYC store opening. "I eat just as much as I always have."
The 22-year-old actress (who has raised eyebrows before for her skinny frame) said she thinks she has just been "working a lot." She said she also blames "stress ... and lack of sleep when I travel."

Lindsay Lohan and DJ gal pal Samantha Ronson canceled a Valentine's Day gig in South Florida, saying they are too sick to travel.
They were scheduled to host and spin at Passions, a late-night club connected to Hollywood, Florida's Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.
"We really feel bad, and I work sick when I can, but unfortunately I couldn't drive to Miami, so I'm stuck in New York City with doctor's orders not to fly," Ronson tells PEOPLE. "Any reports otherwise are false and unfair." "Lindsay and Samantha stayed out late last night in New York City, and are not feeling well," Amanda Senoff, director of marketing for Passions, tells PEOPLE. "A doctor said Sam was too sick with the flu to travel and Lindsay is also feeling sick. So they rescheduled for March 7."
A source close to Ronson tells PEOPLE, "They are both sick with ear infections. Sam needs her ears, and flying with an ear infection is a risk that she can't really afford to take."
The situation leaves Passions, which was paying big bucks for the popular pair to entertain, without a headline DJ and host for the combined Valentine's night/President's Day weekend, the busiest time of the year for south Florida tourism.
"I conferenced all of Lindsay and Sam's managers for three hours today trying to remedy the situation, and they agreed the girls are sick," adds Senoff, who recently joined Passions after a similar stint at Borgata in Atlantic City. "What can I say? I am disappointed because this is my first booking for Passions, but these things happen."

• Lindsay Lohan, watching girlfriend Samantha Ronson hard at work, spinning at ESPN the Magazine's Next party in Tampa, Fla., during Super Bowl weekend. The starlet requested a special white couch near the deejay booth, and Lohan snapped pictures of her girlfriend in action. Meanwhile, Brody Jenner stuck close to girlfriend Jayde Nicole, hanging out in the VIP section and acting "lovey-dovey" all night long.
• Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi, throwing a joint birthday party – the talk show host turned 51 on Jan. 26, and de Rossi turned 36 on Jan. 31 – at their Beverly Hills house. Since it was DeGeneres's party, she wanted everyone to dance, and Samantha Ronson (who flew back from Florida for the occasion) spun tunes as guests like Jennifer Aniston mingled in the backyard. A party guest tells us: "It's a very special party to them." Earlier in the week, the couple struck out to celebrate DeGeneres's birthday at the Chateau Marmont.
• Surprise! Lauren Conrad celebrated her 23rd birthday at the Palazzo's Lavo in Las Vegas with beau Kyle Howard by her side. Pal Lauren "Lo" Bosworth supplied the Mardi Gras-styled masks, which the group of 11 wore as the Hills star walked into the restaurant's private dining room for her surprise party. Afterward, the group headed to Tao Las Vegas to dance the night away in a skybox.
• Beverly Mitchell, enjoying a surprise getaway with hubby Michael Cameron in San Diego. Why? It was the 7th Heaven star's 28th birthday – and she celebrated with dinner at Nobu inside the Hard Rock Hotel followed by a night out at Stingaree Nightclub.

• It's winter – but Carmen Electra still wants that sun-kissed glow. The starlet popped into the Ole Henricksen spa at Los Angeles's Sunset Plaza for a tropical tan. The process involves an exfoliation scrub, tropical rain rinse and a spray tan.
• Eva Longoria Parker played happy hostess at her West Hollywood restaurant, Beso, working the dining room and introducing herself to customers. The Desperate Housewives star walked up to Tina Simpson's table to say hi before moving on to greet other guests. Longoria Parker even snapped pictures at some of the tables, then headed upstairs to the Kiss Lounge for a meeting with her business partners.
• In the Big Apple, a solo Lindsay Lohan loaded up on designer goodies at the SoHo shop Kirna Zabête, leaving the chic boutique with two shopping bags. "She was in a great mood," says an onlooker. Lindsay Lohan is aware of her wild public and professional image – and she doesn't like it.
"I just feel as though it's become a situation where people have manifested this caricature of who I am, and they act as if there's no real person inside of it," Lohan, 22, admits to veteran supermodel Lauren Hutton, 65, in the February issue of Interview.
In a particularly candid moment, Lohan says, "[W]hat hurts me the most is that I work just as hard as any other actress around my age, like Scarlett Johansson, but I just don't get the opportunities that they get because people are so distracted by the mess that I created in my life. But that doesn't mean it's going to last forever." Regarding her party-girl persona, Lohan says, "I mean, people really have come to believe – directors, producers, agents, whoever it may be – that I started in this because I wanted to be a celebrity. But that was never my intention." Heath Ledger's AdviceHer original aim, she says, was to become a movie star – but in movies the way Hollywood used to make them, like Alfred Hitchcock classics (with Cary Grant and Ingrid Bergman). But, laments Lohan, "people my age don't even know who those people are."
Her party-girl image problem, she says, is partly the fault of the industry itself.
"Heath Ledger once said something about this to me," Lohan recalls. "He said: 'It's build-you-up to knock-you-down, and that's all it is. And you just have to see if you can stand through it.'
"And it is like that, if you put yourself in this situation. I was young, so maybe I did … I always wanted to take the blame. I've always been apologetic for other people's faults."

Barack Obama knows how to throw a party! The future President of the United States will be host to Hollywood's finest during the upcoming presidential inauguration festivities.
An A-list crowd will take on Washington D.C. this weekend to celebrate Obama, who will be sworn in as the first African-American president in history on Jan. 20. The festivities, starting Friday and lasting until Tuesday night, include appearances by Will Smith, Jennifer Lopez, Sheryl Crow and Oprah.

The non-stop parties begin Friday night at a BET dinner for Smith, Jada Pinkett-Smith, Denzel Washington, Jay-Z, Beyonce Knowles, Jamie Foxx, Morgan Freeman, Alicia Keys and Patti LaBelle, among others.
BET will host another event on Saturday. Joss Stone, Mary J. Blige, Terrence Howard, Stevie Wonder and Tyler Perry are some of the stars who plan to attend.

The Presidential Inaugural Committee's official kick-off event is the We Are One concert at the Lincoln Memorial. The Sunday show will feature performances from Bruce Springsteen, Crow and Beyonce. Also scheduled to hit the stage are John Mellencamp, Shakira, Garth Brooks, will.i.am and Josh Groban.
Forrest Whitaker, Jeffrey Wright, Adrian Grenier and Elizabeth Berkley plan to attend Rolling Stone's Rock the Vote event on Monday. Meanwhile, Rosario Dawson plans to attend an event hosted by MoveOn.org, and stars including Jessica Alba, Lindsay Lohan and Sam Ronson will be at the Declare Yourself event. Environmental activist and former Vice-President Al Gore will spend the evening at the Green Inaugural Ball.
The Jonas Brothers and Miley Cyrus perform at the week's second big musical event, Kids' Inaugural Concert to honor military families on Monday. The show will be hosted by future First Lady Michelle Obama and Jill Biden, wife of the new vice-president, Joe Biden. Demi Lovato and Usher will also take the stage.

The HuffPo Ball will host some of the inauguration's biggest names on Monday evening. Hosted by the Huffington Post, the party is the first-ever interactive ball allowing web users to join in the event. Those attending the ball at the Newseum include Halle Berry, Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Hanks, Demi Moore, Ashton Kutcher, Fall Out Boy, Samuel L. Jackson, Martha Stewart and Steven Spielberg, among others. Crow, will.i.am and Sting will perform live at midnight.
The parties continue after Obama's inauguration ceremony on Tuesday. Courteney Cox and David Arquette will join Rihanna at the Feeding America Ball that evening. Meanwhile, Anne Hathaway, Kate Walsh, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Peter Sarsgaard and Seal will be at the Creative Coalition Inaugural Ball.

What's plaguing Lindsay Lohan's mind these days? It's the curious ways of the paparazzi and tabloids, says the actress.
After denying reports she had split with Samantha Ronson earlier this week, Lohan ponders the question in her MySpace blog why the tabloids and paparazzi create false information and drama about her.
"Head games – that's what the tabloids and pap's play with everyone .... don't they?" Lohan, 22, writes. "Everyone plays games, but it gets to the point sometimes when you just want to know why." Troubled, the Mean Girls star spent a sleepless night this week in front of the TV watching Without a Trace, which she proclaims to "love this show" and calls Anthony LaPaglia's character Jack Malone "boss."
And to help ease her curiosity, Lohan writes that she fittingly listened to the song "Head Games" by the rock band Foreigner.

Lindsay Lohan just can't let her feud with Scarlett Johansson go.
"What hurts me the most is that I work just as hard as any actress my age, like Scarlett Johansson, but I just don't get the opportunities that they get because people are so distracted by the mess I created in my life," Lohan tells Lauren Hutton in the February issue of Interview magazine.
Johansson slammed Lohan in November for being "really vulgar" -- 2 1/2 years after Lohan famously scrawled dirty words words about the actress on a NYC bathroom stall.
Lohan continues: "And the worst part is, in terms of what people see of me, I have become this girl who just loves to be photographed, doesn't know how to focus, doesn't know how to work on set, just loves the attention, knows how to go out at night, knows how to party.
"And you know what? I was 20 years old. I never went to college," she says.

"And I lived maybe six months out of my life like that, doing something wrong, and then I stopped. God forbid I should have ever learned my lesson. But at this point it's so hard for people to even believe that there was a lesson to be learned at all, because they just think I'm wrong," she adds.
The 22-year-old says Heath Ledger offered her a few words of advice before his January 2008 death from a prescription drug overdose.
"I mean, it's this business. Heath Ledger once said something about this to me. He said: 'It's build you up to knock you down, and that's all it is. And you just have to see if you can stand through it.' And it is like that, if you put yourself in this situation. I was young, so maybe I did... I always wanted to take the blame. I've always been apologetic for other people's faults."
Lohan -- who has already been to rehab three times and gotten two DUI's -- says she "didn't even try everything" during her wildest phase.
"I was too afraid. The one thing I tried was the wrong thing. And maybe it was just because I'd seen someone else in my family do it -- not my mother. But, I don't know, it really... It sucks."

The actress thinks her actions would have been more acceptable if she were in a different field.
"I feel like the modeling industry is a little bit more accepting of women who make mistakes. They appreciate the idea of icons.
"I found that when I worked with Bert Stern on recreating the Marilyn Monroe shoot for New York magazine...When I was able to shoot with him and do that...Although I was also terrified to do it because, I mean, we're two very different people, and I was only 21.
"But when I did that shoot, people didn't frown upon it. People were like, 'That’s a bold thing to do.' People looked at that shoot more than they've looked at any film I've done in the past four or five years."

Lohan says she wouldn't change a thing about her life.
"If I started wishing that I could have do-overs in life, then I would never have been able to really learn from my lessons. I'm not necessarily grateful for certain 'situations' in my life per se, but I am most definitely thankful that I have been able to learn from them," Lohan says.
"Not to mention that I might not have had the chance to be with who I am with now if things didn’t happen the way they did and when they did," she adds. Lohan was first spotted kissing Samantha Ronson at the Cannes Film Festival last May.

So what has she learned over the years?
"Stability through happiness, and comfort amongst loved ones. To overcome the fear of what tomorrow might bring," she says. "And gratitude, because you have to appreciate life as it comes. It's important to be grateful for whatever it is that you have, because if you're not, you will find out that karma is a b--ch."

The denial follows a report earlier today by Access Hollywood claiming Lohan had moved out of the home she was sharing with the celebrity DJ.

Lindsay Lohan will appear at Mansion in Miami -- as gal pal Samantha Ronson DJs. (Tickets: $200.) Also near South Beach: John Legend will be at Prive (admission: $200), and T.I. will perform as Chloe Sevigny hosts a fete at Gansevoort South. (Tickets begin at $225.)
Also in Miami: Diddy, Molly Sims, and Maroon 5's Adam Levine at separate parties at new hotspot Fontainebleau (tickets are $400 for each party), and Busta Rhymes will hit the stage at the Shore Club, where tickets start at $275.
Ashlee Simpson-Wentz and Pete Wentz are leaving newborn Bronx Mowgli at home to party at Pure nightclub in Las Vegas. The cost to join them? $200. Meanwhile, Kim Kardashian and her sisters will host a bash at LAX for $150 a ticket, and newly-eloped Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt will be partying at the Christian Audigier nightclub for just $125 a ticket.
Usher will appear at the Bank nightclub inside the Bellagio (tickets: $200), and Denise Richards and Lance Bass will host as Run DMC performs at Prive nightclub inside the Planet Hollywood hotel (admission: $200).
