BRAD PITT AND GEORGE CLOONEY ATTEND BENEFIT FOR DARFUR IN VENICE Blog
Brad Pitt and George Clooney made their first of two appearances at the Venice Film Festival by attending a humanitarian benefit Tuesday night.
The Not On Our Watch fundraiser -- held on Venice's Giudecca island -- is also the first event Pitt, 44, has attended since Angelina Jolie gave birth to their twins Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline last month.

Not On Our Watch -- which was co-founded by Clooney, Pitt, Don Cheadle, Matt Damon, Jerry Weintraub and David Pressman -- has already raised for $7 million to help victims of the crisis in Darfur and the cyclone in Myanmar.
The benefit is expected to draw 200 film industry and Italian VIPs.
Pitt and Clooney are scheduled to hit the red carpet premiere of their new film Burn After Reading -- written and directed by the Coen brothers -- at the film festival on Wednesday.

Clooney has long spoken out about the three-year conflict in Darfur, which has claimed the lives of more than 200,000 people and displaced about 2.5 million.
Earlier on Tuesday, Pitt took 7-year-old son Maddox on a speedboat ride.

BRAD PITT: PHOTO SHOOT IN FRANCE, CHARITY WORK IN ITALY Blog
With six kids to care for and movies to launch, it's a wonder Brad Pitt also managed to fit charity work and a recent photo shoot – from behind the camera – into his hectic schedule.
The star, spotted with sons Maddox and Pax on the Venetian waterfront Tuesday, is joining forces with costar and pal George Clooney for a fund-raiser preceding Wednesday's Venice Film Festival premiere of their new Coen Brothers' comedy, Burn After Reading.
The dapper duo are scheduled to hit the red carpet on behalf of their charity Not On Our Watch, the Associated Press reports. The organization, launched last year by Pitt, Clooney, Matt Damon and Don Cheadle, has so far raised more than $7 million to help victims of the humanitarian crisis in the Darfur region of Sudan and the cyclone in Myanmar (also known as Burma), according to executive director Alex Wagner.
Photographer PittBefore arriving in Venice, Pitt added professional photographer to his ever-expanding resumé. He snapped Jolie for the November cover of W, PEOPLE has confirmed.
The photo shoot, first reported by Fashion Week Daily, took place at Chateau Miraval in Provence, France, where the Pitt-Jolies have been since Jolie gave birth July 12 to twins Knox Léon and Vivienne Marcheline.
It was a homecoming of sorts for the couple, who appeared on the cover of W in June 2005 to promote their film Mr. and Mrs. Smith. In that cover, the couple lounged while three kids – not their own – played in a pool.

MADDOX DEBUTS BLUE MOHAWK IN ITALY! Blog
Maddox has a new 'do.
The 7-year-old boy rocked a blue mohawk while boarding a speedboat with dad Brad Pitt and brother Pax in Venice, Italy, on Tuesday.

Pitt, 44, is in town for Venice Film Festival, where he will premiere his new Coen Brothers crime comedy, Burn After Reading, on Wednesday.
Along with George Clooney, Pitt is also expected to attend a fundraiser Tuesday night for their charity, Not On Our Watch, which aids victims in the Darfur region of Sudan and the cyclone in Myanma, the AP reports.
(It isn't Pitt's first noteworthy trip to Venice. In 2007, he attended the premiere of The Assassination of Jesse Jackson... in Venice.)
Pitt has been spending quality time with his oldest son lately.
Earlier this month, he celebrated Maddox's seventh birthday by taking him go-karting near the family's $70 million French chateau, where he recently photographed them for W magazine.
Pitt is probably trying to squeeze in as much family time as possible.
In October, he heads back to work on the Quentin Tarantino WWII drama Inglorious Bastards.
