Method acting?
Vampire-playing Robert Pattinson admits he sometimes slips into character when he's out with the ladies.
"I've been known for a little nibble," he told reporters at the London premiere of Twilight. The movie, based on the bestselling novel by Stephenie Meyer, has become an instant hit with tween audiences. Thousands of screaming girls lined the black carpet Wednesday night for a chance to see Pattinson in the (undead) flesh.
Despite adoring fans, the single Pattinson, 22, tells PEOPLE he's not actively looking for a girlfriend. "I'm not like prowling around, no!" he laughs.However his admirers' pickup lines have changed following Twilight's success. "Now it's very different," he said, continuing in a high-pitched falsetto, "It's, 'Oh I'm such a big fan!' "
One woman who's definitely in Pattinson's fan club? Costar Kristen Stewart.
But the 18-year-old actress did jokingly recall one action scene that sidelined the strapping star.
"He tried to pick me up ... and he pulled his groin," she said. "It was hilarious! He was hurt but he was laughing."

Pattinson was even spotted opening and closing Belle's car door.
Despite the afternoon date, a source tells Us that Belle (who recently attended the L.A. premiere of Twilight) and Jonas have not split.

It's a good thing that Robert Pattinson scored the part of Edward in Twilight. His costar Kristen Stewart says she cannot imagine another actor in the role.
"Not to put down any of the other actors who came in, because they were really good, but everyone came in playing Edward as this perfect, happy-go-lucky guy," Stewart, 18, tells Teen magazine's winter issue. "But I got hard core pain from Rob. It was purely just connection."
Pattinson, meanwhile, researched his role seriously: He studied Stephenie Meyer's book.
"I kind of tried to read the book from Edward's perspective," Pattinson tells the magazine. "He's this guy seen through the eyes of someone who is completely, obsessively in love with him. Twilight sank its teeth into the box office this weekend.
Catherine Hardwicke's vampire chiller earned $70.6 million, making it the biggest opening ever for a female director.
The film made an impressive $20,636 per theater, according to Sunday morning estimates.

Even more good news: Summit Entertainment, which released Twilight, announced over the weekend that a sequel, New Moon (based on the second book in the best-selling series), is already in the works. (Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart will headline.)

The latest James Bond installment, Quantum of Solace, held the No. 2 slot, with $27.4 million, while Miley Cyrus' Disney toon, Bolt, claimed third place, with $27 million.

Angelina Jolie's kidnapping drama, Changeling, was No. 6, with $2.6 million.

Twilight heartthrob Robert Pattinson -- who says he went "completely deaf" from screaming fans -- is looking forward to mellowing out in December.
"I think I'll go back to London for a bit, and hide out," the London-born actor told Usmagazine.com of his post-premiere plans at the Gucci/UNICEF event in NYC on Wednesday.
But Pattinson, who plays sexy vampire Edward Cullen in the book-turned-movie (out Nov. 21), is in no huge rush to leave the U.S.
"Here, in America, you feel like you are actually doing a proper movie!" he told Us.

When the flick opens in the UK on December 19, "I'll be curious to see [how it does]," he told Us. "It's been so huge here, who knows how they will enjoy it," he said.
Meanwhile, does the single star have any female celeb crushes he'd like to work with?
"I'd like to work with a lot of them, but not because I have a crush on them," he said.
Pattinson revealed to Ellen DeGeneres that no one wants to get in a relationship with him.
"People like screaming at me," he jokes. "Actually, they like screaming at me in relationships as well. No one wants to commit."

No one wants to commit."After disagreeing with the newly-minted heartthrob, DeGeneres gave Pattinson, who plays hunky vampire Edward Cullen in the upcoming flick, something that may help him attract a girlfriend: a custom pair of Ellen underwear embroidered with "Bite Me" across the bum.
The film adaptation of Stephenie Meyer's first novel from her bestselling teen saga, which costars Kristen Stewart as mortal heroine Bella, opens Friday as well.

Twilight's Robert Pattinson doesn't get why people care about his hair so much.
"I do not understand that at all. At all," he says on The Ellen DeGeneres Show (airing Friday).
"My friends from London who were here the other day were just thinking, 'Why is everyone going on about your hair?'" says the star, who has said he's gone six weeks without washing it. "It’s completely insane!"

Vampire lovers, rejoice: Pattinson also tells DeGeneres he is single.

Twilight's Robert Pattinson says shooting those intimate make-out scenes with co-star Kristen Stewart was scary.
"Yeah, I mean, it's terrifying," he says in the Dec./Jan. issue of Seventeen magazine. "Especially when you kiss and you've got to do it at a weird angle or something.

"But I'm skirting the answer because I'm a really bad kisser," he says. "That's why I don't want to go into details!"
Pattinson, who plays sexy vampire Edward Cullen in the flick (out Nov. 21), adds that he hadn't "kissed anyone for awhile before the movie, so I'd kind of forgotten how!"

Co-star Kellan Lutz, who plays Pattinson's brother, Emmet Cullen, also reveals his tips for ladies wanting to keep a guy.
"Do not write an essay in every text, like, 'Oh, I had a great time, and we should do it again, and your eyes were so cute when you bowled!'" he says. "That's like, 'Whoa.' Keep it short and simple: 'Yeah, let's do it again sometime.' It keeps him waiting for him."

Hundreds of shrieking fans turned out Monday for the Los Angeles premiere of Twilight.
Robert Pattinson, who plays sexy vampire Edward, told Usmagazine.com he was used to all the hoopla by now, "but this week it feels like it's grown so much bigger.
"They all just scream at me and now it just kind of feel like my job," said Pattinson, who joked with MTV News that he'd gone "completely deaf" at the premiere.
Just the other day, Pattinson realized, "there were some girls who had scratched ... the side of their necks so [they were] freshly bleeding when they came up to get a signature.
"They were like, 'We did this for you.' I didn't know what to say. 'Um, thanks guys?'"

Some fans who turned out for Monday's premiere of the popular vampire literary series-turned-movie even camped out overnight to secure a place in line. More than 600 people were allowed inside special holding areas along both sides of the premiere's red carpet.
"The only thing I can compare it to is, I was in a Star Trek movie when I was like 11 and that was a big deal for a 11-year-old kid," star Mike Welch told Us. "But this is unlike anything I've seen before or been apart of."

Added star Justin Chon, "I can't even wrap my head around this right now. It's so crazy. It was nothing I was expecting."
But actress Kristin Stewart, who plays Bella Swan, told Us she gets why fans are so obsessed.
"The book is pretty hard core and the fans are passionate, so I understand it," she said. "I'm looking forward to seeing the movie. Everyone is talking about it but nobody has seen it. It's hard to talk until you see it."
Can viewers expect another Twilight installment?
"No word yet," Cam Gigandet said. "It all depends on how the movie does when it comes out. But we're signed on for three if it happens."

Twilight star Robert Pattinson sets pulses racing during promotional appearances – but one young fan wanted a bit more than just a picture.
Pattinson, who plays vampire Edward Cullen in the upcoming flick (opening Nov. 21), recalls a fairly unusual request he recently received from a 7-year-old girl.
"She went really quiet and she was like, 'Can you bite me?' " Pattinson, 22, told E! Online. "It wasn't a joke ... I looked at her and thought, 'Do you know what you're saying?' " Pattinson also revealed that he put off auditioning for the high-profile role for five months because the script described the character, created by novelist Stephanie Meyer, as "the ideal, perfect man."
"I felt like an idiot being like, "Hi, I'm here for the ideal man audition," he said.
He eventually landed the role – one that required he develop a six-pack – and now he has tweens shrieking at the sight of him during appearances for the vampire movie.
"It's pretty nuts," he says. "It doesn't seem very real at all. I just go to these different cities and people start screaming."

Twilight star Robert Pattinson (a.k.a. hunky vampire Edward Cullen) ignited shrieks from female fans Monday night in New York, according to USA Today.
"I always get carried away when I'm kissing people," the British actor, 22, who headlined a fan Q&A about the upcoming film adaptation of Stephenie Meyer's popular teen novels, said when comparing himself to his bloodsucking character. "I just go nuts.""I have an incredible six-pack. I'm joking," he teased while detailing other similarities. "I can run really fast. I'm good at climbing trees."
Twilight, which opens on Nov. 21, also stars Kristen Stewart as Edward's human love, Bella, who director Catherine Hardwicke said, during Pattinson's audition, "did some scenes on my bed" and "had the chemistry."

Stephenie Meyer is taking another bite out of Hollywood.
The author, who has already hit the jackpot with her series of vampire novels and the soon to be released film version, Twilight, has also directed her first music video for alt-rock band Jack's Mannequin.
Shot in Malibu, the video for the single "The Resolution," off the band's sophomore record The Glass Passenger, which released Tuesday, has a "whimsical, other worldliness look to it," says Mannequin singer-keyboardist Andrew McMahon. He adds that they called upon Meyer to craft the concept of the video after hearing she was a fan of their tunes. Watch the video here. So just what did the creative Meyer come up with? "Me and my piano are hauling out of town trying to get away from the tide, but it just keeps coming to get me," says McMahon. "She has a great eye for fantasy."
When Twilight star Robert Pattinson heard about Meyer's new gig he couldn't help but gush. "She's got obsessive taste in music so she'll do really well," he said.
And if McMahon's reaction is a good indication, she did better than "well." He described her directing skills as "awesome!" adding, "She's totally cool! Just a very normal kind of chick."

| PARAMORE RECORDS TWO SONGS FOR TWILIGHT FILM Blog |
Paramore's Hayley Williams is a huge fan of the Twilight phenomenon – and now she's a part of it!
"Twilight really caught my attention and held it. I'm really excited to see the book adapted to film and excited that our band gets to be a part of the phenomenon," Williams said, in a statement Friday to MTV News, confirming the band will have two songs on the soundtrack for the upcoming Twilight movie.
Williams has posted multiple photos of herself with the vampire-themed novels and blogged extensively about her love for the Stephanie Meyers-penned books and says she's more than happy about the collaboration.
"Twilight is the first series of books I've ever read. I didn't get into the Harry Potter series, even though I love the movies," she said.
The Twilight movie, starring Kristen Stewart as shy teenager Bella Swan and Robert Pattinson as her vampire paramour Edward, will be in theaters Nov. 21.
