| DWTS' ROCCO DISPIRITO "IT'S FAIR" I WASN'T DISMISSED Blog |
Despite coming in last place on Tuesday's Dancing With the Stars, Rocco DiSpirito wasn't dismissed because injured contestant Misty May-Treanor dropped out.
"We're grateful to have another chance!" he told Usmagazine.com after the show. "We're bummed that Misty's gone, bummed that Misty got hurt... We're really going to have to do a lot of work to honor Misty through our dancing in this competition!
"Every week I wanted to know where I stood, and now I know exactly where I stand!" he went on. "You can't look at any part of this and say, 'This wasn't fair, this was mean.' It's fair ... this is just how it goes!"

His partner Karina Smirnoff said being in the bottom has made them more motivated to work extra hard next week.
"We're just going to try and strategize and put in as much of an entertainment factor to the next dance as possible," Smirnoff told Us. "At the end of the day, we owe it to our fans to do as best of a job as we absolutely can."

May-Treanor had surgery Tuesday morning to repair a torn Achilles tendon.
Said her rep, "She is currently at home recovering. Her husband, Matt, is with her."
