SCARLETT JOHANSSON INSPIRES 'I KISSED A GIRL' Blog
Some stars get fan mail. Scarlett Johansson got a platinum-certified single.
When told that her lips inspired Katy Perry to pen her hit "I Kissed A Girl," Johansson, who recently married Ryan Reynolds, tells December's Allure, "That's flattering, but my lips are kind of taken."
In fact, until Perry's melody was pointed out to her, "I had no idea [about the song]," says Johansson, 24. "I should get a cut!" Yet when the topic of how she met Reynolds, 32, comes up, Johansson cuts off the conversation.
"Nobody knows.," she says. "It's private. It's our story."
And while she won't reveal the details of their past, Johansson does exhibit a carefree mindset toward the future.
"I always wanted to get married and have kids," she says. "I just never had any preconceived idea about what that would be like … My life seems to be happening naturally."

SCARLETT JOHANSSON OPENS UP ABOUT FEUD WITH LINDSAY LOHAN Blog
Scarlett Johansson tells December's Allure she doesn't know why Lindsay Lohan doesn't like her.
"I really don’t know that person. I only met her, like, three times," says the actress, 23, who lost the lead role in The Parent Trap to Lohan when she was 13.
See photos of celebs Lindsay Lohan has actually liked!
Lohan famously scrawled vulgar words about the actress on a Big Apple bathroom stall 2½ years ago.
"That's what I heard," Johansson says of the incident. "I don’t know what the motivation was behind that. I remember it was something really vulgar — I mean, shockingly so, like, 'Whoa, what, who are you?'"
Not everyone in Hollywood has a beef with the actress. Woody Allen once called her his muse.
But the Vicky Cristina Barcelona star tells Allure, "I don't inspire that work that Woody does. I'm just lucky to fit into the 'young woman' category in his movies. But make no mistake, I know that if it wasn't me, it would be someone else."
Another Johansson fan? Katy Perry, who penned the tune "I Kissed a Girl" after her.
"I had no idea [about the song] -- I should get a cut!" she says. "That's flattering, but my lips are kind of taken."
See photos of girls getting it on with other girls.
Asked how she met husband Ryan Reynolds (whom she began dating last year), she says, "Nobody knows. It's private. It's our story."

Johansson also zipped her lips about a tattoo on her forearm.
"It's kind of personal," the star says. "It's a sunrise, and it makes me happy when I look at it."

JOSH HARTNETT PLANS CHARITY TRIP TO AFRICA Blog
It's a long way from his native Minnesota, but Josh Hartnett says he wants to do charity work with children in Africa.
"I want to go down there and actually help out," the actor, 30, said at a London event for Dramatic Need, a group that sends volunteers to Africa to teach art, film, dance and photography, Britain's Press Association reports.
"It's fun for an actor to be able to do something that's not for publicity, but actually go down and do something hands-on," he said. Hartnett, currently starring in the London stage adaptation of Rain Main, said of Dramatic Need's volunteer program, "It allows [children] to be creative and have a good time for a little portion of their day, which I think is necessary."
Hartnett, who has been romantically linked to Sienna Miller and Scarlett Johansson in the past, has not set a date for his Africa trip.

MICHAEL J. FOX'S MARRIAGE ADVICE TO RYAN REYNOLDS: MEN ARE ALWAYS WRONG! Blog
Michael J. Fox has a few words of advice for newlywed Ryan Reynolds.
"Just remember this: If a man says something in the forest and his wife isn't there to hear him, he's still wrong!" Fox said Tuesday.
Reynolds - who tied the knot to Scarlett Johansson on Sept. 27 - was surprised by Fox during a taping of Rachael Ray's daytime show.
Reynolds, 31, ran the NYC marathon Nov. 2 for Team Fox to raise awareness for Parkinson's Disease, which his father and Fox both suffer from.
"I see this Team Fox banner up ahead, and I look to my left and there I saw Michael," Reynolds said on the show, which airs today (check local listings).
"My dad, for I think fairly obvious reasons, couldn't be there at the marathon. I would have loved him to be there, but Michael really was a kind of surrogate for that for me, and to just high five him and have that moment really carried me through.
"I mean I said that I gained 15 pounds in goose bumps alone...and I finished strong," he added.
Reynolds blogged a lot about prepping for the marathon - including worries that his nipples would bleed from friction during the 26.2-mile run, which he finished in 3 hours and 50 minutes.
See photos of stars working out!
"Weird things happen to you," Reynolds told Ray. "Thankfully, all three nipples are fine.
"I was really concerned because I was at the finish line two years ago, and I watched these people coming in and it was like watching the music video to 'Thriller,'" he said. "It was really horrifying to watch, and I thought what am I going to do about this? I know you're supposed to put Vaseline on, and some people said if you put Vaseline on if your chest you're going to be fine. I was like, should I wear a running bra? Will people know?"
Following the run, which was attended by his mom, Tammy (Johansson was on the road campaigning for Barack Obama, he said), Reynolds pigged out.
"You're just craving anything. I think I sat down to a 10,000 calorie dinner," he said. "Onlookers were just in slack jawed horror watching me put back two chocolate sundaes, three tuna wrap type things...I had some spaghetti and meatballs.
"I flossed later, and a small child fell out," he added. "It was pretty gross."

RYAN REYNOLDS GETS MARRIAGE ADVICE FROM MICHAEL J. FOX Blog
In his first TV interview since his top-secret marriage to Scarlett Johansson, Ryan Reynolds stops by the Rachael Ray show Wednesday to talk marathons, munchies and marriage.
Having recently completed the New York City Marathon in honor of his father who suffers from Parkinson's disease, Reynolds, 32, brought along surprise guest Michael J. Fox to discuss the 26.2-mile ordeal.
When Ray asked about Reynolds's pre-race blogs – which chronicled his concern about nipple bleeding, a common affliction for marathoners thanks to the friction from their T-shirts – the Definitely, Maybe star gamely bantered back, "Thankfully all three nipples are fine." "I was at a finish line two years ago, and I watched these people coming in and it was like watching the music video to 'Thriller,' " he said, explaining the source of his pre-race fear. "It was really horrifying to watch, and I thought what am I going to do about this? I was like, should I wear a running bra?"
'Slack-Jawed Horror'Moving on to more cooking-show-appropriate conversation, they also discussed his post-finish-line meal. Claiming to have chowed down nearly 10,000 calories, Reynolds said he polished off two chocolate sundaes, three tuna wraps and some spaghetti and meatballs.
"Onlookers were just in slack-jawed horror," he quipped.
Not to be outdone by his comedic counterpart, Fox happily piped in to impart some pearls of wisdom for the newlywed.
"Just remember this," Fox warned his friend, "If a man says something in the forest and his wife isn't there to hear him, he's still wrong." An apt pupil, Reynolds quickly agreed: "Well said!"

MICHAEL J. FOX ROCKS OUT WITH THE WHO Blog
"This is almost worth getting Parkinson's for!" Michael J. Fox declared as he took the stage to play guitar with The Who in New York City Wednesday night.
The actor – who was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 1991 – rocked out to the legendary band's "Magic Bus," trading licks and windmill guitar riffs with Pete Townshend.
The once-in-a-lifetime performance was the grand finale of Fox's annual A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To Cure Parkinson's.Ryan Reynolds – who recently ran the New York City Marathon in honor of his father, who suffers from Parkinson's – also attended the star-studded event, along with his new wife Scarlett Johansson. Also on the guest list: Rachael Ray, Julianne Moore, and New York Yankee Derek Jeter.
The event was even more celebratory than usual, thanks to Barack Obama's presidential win the night before.
"I'm positive that one of the first things that [Obama] is going to do ... is revisit the [George W. Bush's] ban on stem cell research ...," Fox told PEOPLE at the event, which he attended along with wife Tracy Pollen and daughters, Schuyler and Aquinnah. "I'm really excited."

BARACK OBAMA MAKES HISTORY! Blog
The results are in: Barack Obama has been elected the 44th President of the United States. This wins makes him the first African-American chief executive in the 232-year history of the country.
Though race was a theme that wafted throughout a tough fight against Republicans John McCain and Sarah Palin, most political pundits credited the poor economy as the central factor in the minds of Americans once they closed the curtains in polling booths.
In a presidential campaign that stretched over two years – and saw the rise and fall of so formidable a rival as Hillary Clinton – Obama triumphed with the help of early support from Oprah Winfrey and endorsements from a variety of Hollywood stars like Scarlett Johansson and Matt Damon. Only last weekend, he was serenaded in concert by Bruce Springsteen.
'Transformational Figure'Since first appearing on the national stage only four years ago, when he walloped Illinois radio host Alan Keyes to become a U.S. senator, the Chicago Democrat, 47, has emerged as his generation's political rock star, forging a path to the White House with sharp focus and stunning speed. Always, it seemed, there were huge crowds gathered to see the charismatic candidate, whom Colin Powell, in his own endorsement of Obama, labeled "a transformational figure."
But there were tough personal times, too, such as when Obama broke off campaigning for two days in the final stretch to visit his gravely ill grandmother, Madelyn Dunham, 86, in Hawaii. Dunham died two days before the election, never living to see Obama rise to this pinnacle.
The president-elect takes with him to the White House on Inauguration Day Jan. 20 his wife of 16 years, Michelle Obama, and their two daughters, Malia, 10, and Sasha, 7.
Obama is expected to make his victory speech at a rally in Chicago's Grant Park, where 70,000 guests received coveted tickets to the event – and up to 1 million people could show up, according to Chicago authorities.

RYAN REYNOLDS JOKES ABOUT "SCARY MARATHON FACE" AFTER FINISHING NYC RACE Blog
Ryan Reynolds finished Sunday's ING New York City Marathon in 3 hours and 50 minutes, faster than he thought.
"I am going to allow three to four hours for my scary marathon face to go away and then I am going to eat my body weight in raw dough," he told New York's Daily News as he collected his medal.
Reynolds, 31, ran for Team Fox, set up by Michael J. Fox to raise money for Parkinson's Disease. (Reynolds' father has suffered from Parkinson's Disease for the past 15 years.)
"When I saw Michael J. Fox on Fifth Avenue, I gained about 15 lbs. in goose bumps," he said. "It kind of pushed me through the last six miles or so!"
During the more than 26-mile course, he said, "I thought a lot about my father and about Michael while I was running. I'm running for those who can't."
(Reynolds was met by his mom Tammy at the finish line. His wife Scarlett Johansson -- who was out campaigning for Barack Obama -- was cheering him on the road somewhere, he told reporters.)
Reynolds wasn't the only celeb who ran: Howard Stern's wife Beth Ostrosky finished the race in 4 hours, 15 minutes.
See exclusive photos from Howard Stern's wedding.
"Isn't she beautiful?" Stern gushed as daughter Ashley, 15, also hugged her stepmom.
Stern, 54, who married Ostrosky, 36, last month, made his wife a carb-filled breakfast of bagels stuffed with peanut butter and bananas before the race.
"She ate a ton," he told The Associated Press.
Their post-marathon plans?
"We're going to celebrate with some sushi and some pasta," she said. "A lot of sushi and pasta."
How did she get through the race?
Said Ostrosky: "I just kept thinking about seeing Howard and Ashley on the finish line."

Mission accomplished! Ryan Reynolds completed the ING New York City Marathon on Sunday – and lived to tell about it.
"I'm still standing. I'm very excited about that," he told reporters
after crossing the finish line in 3 hours and 50 minutes,
faster than he anticipated. "It was an incredible experience."
Reynolds says in the last leg of the race, he was motivated to keep going by one special spectator.
"When I saw Michael J. Fox on Fifth Avenue, I gained about 15 pounds in goose bumps," said Reynolds. "It kind of pushed me through the last six miles or so."Reynolds ran for Team Fox in honor of his father, Jim Reynolds, who has suffered from Parkinson's Disease for the past 15 years.
"[During the race] I thought a lot about my father and Michael and the 500,000 other people afflicted with this awful disease in the United States alone. I'm ran for those who can't," Reynolds told PEOPLE.
Reynolds's mother Tammy and brother Terry greeted him with hugs at the finish line in Central Park.
On Friday, Reynolds told reporters that his wife Scarlett Johansson would be cheering "on the road somewhere." On Saturday, Johansson helped campaign for presidential candidate Barack Obama at Ohio's Case Western Reserve University.
Asked how Reynolds plans to celebrate his marathon accomplishment, he joked, "I'll probably celebrate by eating my own body weight in raw dough."

RYAN REYNOLDS TO RUN THE NEW YORK CITY MARATHON Blog
Ryan Reynolds is an adventurous guy: He just took the plunge and now he's ready to risk bloody nipples.
Last month, the actor married Scarlett Johansson in an intimate wedding in Canada. Now the Definitely, Maybe star is tackling the New York City Marathon on Nov. 2, according to an open letter he wrote on The Huffington Post.
"I am not a runner," writes Reynolds, 31. "I am a running joke. Waking up at 4:30 a.m. and jogging anywhere from 11 to 23 miles has been nothing short of horrifying."
Reynolds – a spectator in years past – admits he was amazed by the sight of "guys coming in to finish with bleeding nipples ... People were crying. People were limping, hobbling, screaming, crawling. But most importantly, people were experiencing a sublime rapture that I couldn't even hope to understand." Ultimately, he signed up for the race after meeting Michael J. Fox, and is running to raise money in the fight against Parkinson’s disease. The main reason behind his efforts? "On behalf of my Father, Jim Reynolds, who's spent the last 15 years in a life or death struggle with Parkinson's Disease," explains Reynolds.
Mired in the grind of marathon training, he writes, "Not since the discovery of Junior High School has a torture been so effective. It's my hope the story of my father combined with my own goal of becoming the first person in history to sob uncontrollably for 26.2 miles straight, may inspire you to give something too."
He concludes with invites to donate to his cause or another one, as well as, "come down and watch. Feel free to bring a smile, automated defibrillator, or a fresh set of nipples."

RYAN REYNOLDS RUNNING NYC MARATHON TO HONOR DAD WITH PARKINSON'S Blog
Ryan Reynolds is running the New York City marathon.
Though he admits, "I am a running joke," he says he is determined to hit the finish line to honor his father Jim, who has spent the last 15 years battling Parkinson's.
"I've watched my father -- a strong and proud person who successfully raised 4 arguably insane children - slowly, cruelly stripped of his independence," he writes in a new Huffington Post column.
"Witnessing my Dad suffer over the years galvanized my need to step up," he goes on. "On November 2nd, I'll join thousands of other men and women to march in lockstep solidarity toward searing psychic pain and physical humiliation."
Reynolds -- who recently wed Scarlett Johansson -- says he is also running in support of Michael J. Fox, who is also afflicted with Parkinson's.
"Like so many before me, I found it impossible not to be touched by his story of overwhelming strength, passion and relentless commitment to help those afflicted with this insidious disease. The man is inspiration exemplified," Reynolds writes. "Plus, he was in Back To The Future."
Reynolds is asking for a donation but insists, "No donation is too small - and certainly, no donation is too large. And if you don't give anything at all, maybe I've primed you for a future donation in someone else's name. For someone else's cause." (Click here to make a donation.)
He says fans are welcome to greet him at the finish line.
"On behalf of me, my father, and everyone struggling with Parkinson's," Reynolds signs off, "our endless gratitude."

SCARLETT & RYAN GO NATURAL FOR WEDDING Blog
Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynold's Canadian wedding location wasn't just to paparazzi-proof their nuptials last weekend, but to allow the couple and their guests to enjoy the great outdoors on Vancouver Island, PEOPLE reports in its latest issue, on sale Friday.
Even the groom, 31, took advantage of the setting – fishing for salmon and halibut while other guests went horseback riding and mountain biking on the grounds of the Clayoquot Wilderness Resort, a luxurious outpost of 20 canvas tents that caters to nature lovers.
"Scarlett wanted a ceremony with just family and a few select friends," says a source close to the 23-year-old bride. Less than 40 people attended the wedding – but those who didn't make the cut shouldn't feel left out. According to a friend, plans are afoot to throw a larger celebration for the couple, who began dating in April 2007 before announcing their engagement in May.
"They make a great couple and they'll make an even better married couple," says the source.

SHIA LABEOUF PAL: 'I HAVE HIS BACK' Blog
It's been a rough summer for Indiana Jones star Shia LaBeouf, who crushed his hand in a car accident resulting in his arrest on suspicion of drunk driving. But don't count him out, says a pal.
"He's been through a lot, he's had a hard life, and he grew up with some scars. But he's a fighter," says Christy Carlson Romano, who costarred with LaBeouf in the Disney TV series Even Stevens. "I have his back."
But LaBeouf is no angel, she admits. "In fact, he's crazy like a rock star!" she says. Doctors performed extensive surgery on LaBeouf's left hand in July following his car cash. Although he was cited for misdemeanor DUI at the time, police have said the actor may not have been at fault for the crash because the other driver apparently ran a red light.
"I'm not an advocate of drinking and driving," Romano tells PEOPLE at a Samsung event Sept. 3 in New York City honoring fashion designer Valentino. "But I think that the criticism is a little overexaggerated. In Los Angeles, even if you have one drink, that counts as a DUI."
Despite the setback, Romano doesn't think LaBeouf's rising star was tarnished.
"I grew up with girls like Scarlett Johansson and Hilary Duff, and I can tell star quality when I see it. He's got it," says the actress, who played Shia's big sister Ren Stevens in the Disney original series and will now be joining the cast of Broadway's Avenue Q.
She notes that LaBeouf still jokingly calls her "sis" but "he doesn't call me up for advice!"

Perry isn't the only celeb wild about Johansson, who was named Esquire's "sexiest woman alive" in 2006.
Kanye West recently announced on his Web site that the 23-year-old actress is his "favorite white girl" and posted dozens of photos of her.
Gossip Girl star Ed Westwick also gushed about the actress after she got engaged to Ryan Reynolds.
"Damn, I'm very disappointed!" he told Usmagazine.com. "I missed my chance. That boat has sailed."

MARIAH CAREY, BEYONCé UNITE FOR CHARITY RECORD Blog
Forget The Supremes. Step aside, Spice Girls. This may be the ultimate "girl group" of all time.
Fifteen of the hottest female singers in the world – including Mariah Carey, Beyoncé, Rihanna, Miley Cyrus, Fergie and Carrie Underwood – are making beautiful music together for the single "Just Stand Up," the Associated Press reports.
The collaboration, conceived by Antonio "L.A." Reid, who produced the song along with Kenny "Babyface" Edmonds, will benefit the Stand Up To Cancer fund-raising drive. (The song will hit airwaves Sept. 2.)
The divas will all unite for a live performance of the single on Sept. 5, during the star-studded Stand Up To Cancer television special, which will air simultaneously on NBC, CBS and ABC. Jennifer Aniston, Scarlett Johansson and Charlize Theron are among the A-listers who have signed on for the telethon.
