SELENA GOMEZ SAYS SHE'S 'GETTING TO KNOW' NICK JONAS Blog
Selena Gomez is speaking out about her relationship with Nick Jonas – sort of.
The Wizards of Waverly Place actress, who has been rumored to be dating the Jonas Brothers star, addresses the rumors in the upcoming issue of TV Guide.
"I've gotten really close to the entire Jonas family this past year," she tells the magazine. "Nick and I are getting to know each other, but we're not confirming anything."
Gomez, 16, also says that "there's no feud" between her and fellow Disney star Miley Cyrus. The YouTube video that sparked the rumors, "was completely blown out of proportion. That video was ages ago, and it's so irrelevant and not important to everything else going on."And don't expect her to be a perfect role model to her Disney fans. "I'm going to do the best that I can do, but I am 16 and I am going to make mistakes – no one's perfect."
While it's true that no one is perfect, Gomez does look up to one actor: Transformers star Shia LaBeouf.
"I've had a crush on him ever since he was on Even Stevens," Gomez admits. "It's very far-fetched, but I would love to have Shia on Wizards."

SELENA GOMEZ ADMITS: "NICK AND I ARE GETTING TO KNOW EACH OTHER" Blog
Finally, Selena Gomez is coming clean about Nick Jonas.
Well, sort of.
"I've gotten really close to the entire Jonas family this past year," the 16-year-old coyly says in the new issue of TV Guide. "Nick and I are getting to know each other, but we're not confirming anything."
(For months, the two have denied they're dating, despite sources telling Usmagazine.com they're an item.)
See what Selena and Nick have in common.
One guy Gomez isn't afraid to chat about: Shia LaBeouf.
"I've had a crush on him ever since he was on Even Stevens," she admits. "It's very far-fetched, but I would love to have Shia on Wizards [of Waverly Place, her Disney Channel show]."
Of being a role model, Gomez says, "I'm going to do the best that I can do, but I am 16 and I am going to make mistakes - no one's perfect."
How well do you know teen stars?
But you won't find her dancing on banquettes anytime soon.
"To be honest, I'm quite boring!" she says. "I love to go bowling and to the movies. When it comes to my wardrobe, I think I dress like a 30-year-old woman."

SHIA LABEOUF WON'T BE CHARGED DUE TO "INSUFFICIENT EVIDENCE" Blog
Actor Shia LaBeouf won't be charged with a DUI stemming from his July car accident but his license could be suspended for refusing a breathalyzer test.
The L.A. County District Attorney had "insufficient evidence" to charge the Transformers star, a spokeswoman told the Associated Press on Thursday.
LaBeouf, 22, must now appear at a traffic hearing at the Department of Motor Vehicles on Friday. His license could be suspended for up to nine months.
"Shia is most happy that he will not have to go to court," his attorney, Michael Norris, told the AP. "I anticipate that once we do have the opportunity to litigate the matter at the DMV that his license will not be suspended."
Two other people involved may be charged for the accident, which badly injured LaBeouf's hand and required days of hospitalized.
See Us' celeb mug shot archive.
The accident occurred in West Hollywood on the morning of July 27. Sheriff's deputies had previously determined that LaBeouf was not at fault; the other driver apparently ran a red light
Earlier this month, LaBeouf said the crash was "eye opening and terrifying.
"The car hit me at 70 mph," he told Entertainment Tonight.
"It was one of the biggest things that's happened to me, for sure, in my life," he added. "I'm grateful to be here."
LaBeouf's latest film, Eagle Eye, opens today.

SHIA LABEOUF: WON'T BE CHARGED DUE TO "INSUFFICIENT EVIDENCE" Blog
Shia LaBeouf, who was arrested on suspicion of DUI in July, will not be charged, TMZ.com reported on Thursday.
The L.A. County D.A. rejected the case on grounds of insufficient evidence, TMZ reported.
According to TMZ, while LaBeouf won't be prosecuted, he could have his license suspended for refusing to submit to a blood alcohol test. The actor's DMV hearing is scheduled for tomorrow, Steve Whitmore from the L.A. County Sheriff's Department told TMZ.
LaBeouf was partying at West Hollywood's Troubadour Club before the July 27 crash that flipped his truck.
"The car hit me at 70 mph," the 22-year-old told Entertainment Tonight.
See Us' celeb mug shot archive.
In his new movie Eagle Eye, LaBeouf plays a man, who is always being watched and followed.
"My life is very strange," LaBeouf told MTV.com. "I live in a fishbowl anyways. [Being constantly watched] it is not extremely problematic for me personally."
He continued: "I think it's for people who have privacy; I think then it's a problem. But for people who don't have privacy, it's just another thing, you know."

SHIA LABEOUF WON'T BE CHARGED WITH DUI IN ACCIDENT Blog
Shia LaBeouf won't face DUI charges for the July 27 car accident that crushed his hand, the L.A. County District Attorney's Office announced Thursday.
"After reviewing the case, we've declined to file any charges due to insufficient evidence," says DA spokeswoman Jane Robison.
Following the crash, the 22-year-old Transformers star was cited with misdemeanor DUI while he was still at the hospital.
Prosecutors instead plan to file criminal charges against the other driver, who was found to have run a red light, Robison says. "We're very happy with the prosecutor's decision, and we're glad this whole thing resolved without Shia having to go to court," LaBeouf's attorney Michael Norris tells PEOPLE
Although the DA rejected the case, LaBeouf still faces a DMV hearing Friday and the possible suspension of his driver's license, L.A. County Sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore tells PEOPLE.
"When an individual refuses to take a blood alcohol test, that person's license is automatically suspended for six to nine months," says Whitmore.
At the Sept. 16 premiere of his new movie Eagle Eye, LaBeouf's hand was in a white protective guard and he kept it in his pocket most of the night.
"I'm just propped up right now to do Transformers 2," LaBeouf told PEOPLE. "Then, when I get another surgery, I'll start recovering. Right now, I'm getting through."

BILLY BOB: ANGELINA JOLIE STILL "ONE OF MY BEST FRIENDS" Blog
Years after their bitter break-up, Billy Bob Thornton claims he and Angelina Jolie are still tight.
"I've never said anything but good things about any relationship I've had and, frankly, that's all I remember about them," he tells Parade.
"I have the utmost respect for Angelina. She's a very sweet person, very talented and one of my best friends in the world."
Can you believe these celebs once hooked up?
Thornton returns to the big screen this weekend alongside Shia LaBeouf in the thriller Eagle Eye.
In the movie, his character has a chase scene on a maze of airport baggage conveyor belts.
Um, intense?
"We were up really high falling from one belt to another. You couldn't stand up because you might get your head knocked off," he recalls. "I came through it OK, but Michelle [Monaghan] got a nasty welt on her neck. Looking back, maybe I should have called for a stunt man."
See photos of more stars on set.
Off-screen, things are less chaotic.
"My favorite thing is watching television," he says. "Every time somebody says, 'Hey, let's go to the Cobra Club' or whatever, I don't know what they're talking about. I don't know where anything trendy is."
Adds Thornton (who welcomed a daughter, Bella, in 2004 with girlfriend Connie Angland): "I watch TV, play with the kids and then go into the recording studio and do my music until the wee hours."

SHIA LABEOUF 'GETTING THROUGH' HAND INJURY Blog
Action star Shia LaBeouf is just as tough off screen as he is on.
"I'm just propped up right now to do Transformers 2," LaBeouf told PEOPLE of his left hand at Tuesday's Eagle Eye premiere in Hollywood. "Then, when I get another surgery, I'll start recovering. Right now, I'm getting through."
It was his red carpet appearance since his July 27 DUI arrest and accident that crushed his hand. The 22-year-old kept the healing appendage, which was in a white protective guard, in his pocket for most of the night. And when asked if he was "70- to 80-percent back to normal," LaBeouf joked, "I haven't percentaged it out."LaBeouf's hand injury, which left two of his fingers broken, forced a script rewrite of Transformers 2, which is currently in production. The changes are minor, according to one of the movie's writers.
"It will be a part of it," Alex Kurtzman, Transformers 2 co-writer and Eagle Eye producer, said. "Very little, actually, very little. Without giving too much away, it actually fit very organically into what we were already doing."
LaBeouf revealed to PEOPLE that it's the elaborate action sequences with explosions on Eagle Eye, Transformers 2, and Indiana Jones 4 where actors stand to get injured.
"You start pushing it a little bit. The scary thing about doing it so often is you take certain things for granted," he said. "You forget to put the elbow pad on, and you wind up wrecking your elbow … You become jaded. It's work to not become jaded."

SHIA LABEOUF CALLS CAR CRASH 'EYE-OPENING' Blog
Calling his July 27 traffic accident "eye-opening and terrifying," Shia LaBeouf considers himself lucky to be alive.
"The car hit me at 70 m.p.h.," the Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull star, 22, tells Entertainment Tonight in his first interview since his truck flipped over on a West Hollywood street.
"It was one of the biggest things that's happened to me, for sure, in my life," said LaBeouf. "I'm grateful to be here." The actor was treated at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for injuries he sustained to his head, left hand and knee. Not seriously hurt were the passenger riding with him, as well as the driver of the other car involved in the crash.
At the hospital, LaBeouf was cited for misdemeanor DUI because "he was showing obvious signs of intoxication from the smell of alcohol coming from his breath," sheriff's Sgt. Scott Wolf told PEOPLE.
However, the actor has yet to be formally charged with any crime.
In addition, LaBeouf may not be at fault for the accident, because the other driver was found to have run a red light, a sheriff's spokesman said.

SHIA LABEOUF: CAR CRASH "EYE OPENING, TERRIFYING" Blog
Shia LaBeouf is speaking out about his July car crash, which he calls "eye opening and terrifying.
"The car hit me at 70 mph," the 22-year-old told Entertainment Tonight over the weekend while promoting his new flick, Eagle Eye.
"It was one of the biggest things that's happened to me, for sure, in my life," he added. "I'm grateful to be here."
LaBeouf was partying at West Hollywood's Troubadour Club before the July 27 crash that flipped his truck. After the accident, he was booked on suspicion of DUI (police later said the other driver was at fault for running a red light).
LaBeouf underwent extensive hand surgery to repair two of his fingers, which were "pretty mashed," in the accident, Transformers director Michael Bay later said. (His injury has been written into the movie's sequel.)
He recently told Access Hollyood he will have more surgery "to be back to 100 percent."
He said he was thankful his accident injured only his hand.
Said LaBeouf, "It could have been something else."

SHIA LABEOUF PAL: 'I HAVE HIS BACK' Blog
It's been a rough summer for Indiana Jones star Shia LaBeouf, who crushed his hand in a car accident resulting in his arrest on suspicion of drunk driving. But don't count him out, says a pal.
"He's been through a lot, he's had a hard life, and he grew up with some scars. But he's a fighter," says Christy Carlson Romano, who costarred with LaBeouf in the Disney TV series Even Stevens. "I have his back."
But LaBeouf is no angel, she admits. "In fact, he's crazy like a rock star!" she says. Doctors performed extensive surgery on LaBeouf's left hand in July following his car cash. Although he was cited for misdemeanor DUI at the time, police have said the actor may not have been at fault for the crash because the other driver apparently ran a red light.
"I'm not an advocate of drinking and driving," Romano tells PEOPLE at a Samsung event Sept. 3 in New York City honoring fashion designer Valentino. "But I think that the criticism is a little overexaggerated. In Los Angeles, even if you have one drink, that counts as a DUI."
Despite the setback, Romano doesn't think LaBeouf's rising star was tarnished.
"I grew up with girls like Scarlett Johansson and Hilary Duff, and I can tell star quality when I see it. He's got it," says the actress, who played Shia's big sister Ren Stevens in the Disney original series and will now be joining the cast of Broadway's Avenue Q.
She notes that LaBeouf still jokingly calls her "sis" but "he doesn't call me up for advice!"

ISABEL LUCAS: SHIA LABEOUF'S "HAND IS HEALING WELL" Blog
Shia LaBeouf is recovering nicely from his car crash last month, says his Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen co-star Isabel Lucas, who was with him at the time of the accident.

ATTORNEY: SHIA LABEOUF'S HAND 'CRUSHED' IN TRAFFIC COLLISION Blog
Shia LaBeouf's left hand was "crushed" in a weekend traffic accident and runs the risk of infection, the actor's lawyer said Friday.
"The force of (the) impact immediately flipped Shia's vehicle over, and, as a result, Shia's left hand was crushed," said his attorney Michael Norris in a statement.
"Shia underwent four hours of surgery on Sunday and has been recovering since then," the statement continues. "His doctors remain hopeful that he will fully recover, but due to extensive surgery and the nature of the injuries, there remains a substantial risk of both infection and other complications."
LaBeouf, 22, suffered the injuries when his truck collided with another vehicle in West Hollywood at about 2:30 a.m. Sunday.
"We have also received information that suggests that the other driver may have been traveling upwards of 50 mph, and that said driver may not have been looking forward at the time of the accident," the lawyer says. On Tuesday, a Los Angeles County sheriff's spokesman said that LaBeouf, whose passenger was Transformers 2 costar Isabel Lucas, may not have been at fault for the crash. No one was seriously injured in the wreck.
"We have strong evidence that the other driver ran a red light," sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore said. "The case is still under investigation."
Shortly after the accident, LaBeouf was cited for misdemeanor DUI because "he was showing obvious signs of intoxication from the smell of alcohol coming from his breath," sheriff's Sgt. Scott Wolf told PEOPLE.
The actor has yet to be formally charged with any crime.

SHIA LABEOUF'S CRASH INJURY TO BE WRITTEN INTO TRANSFORMERS 2 Blog
The show must go on!
Transformers 2 director Michael Bay says Shia LaBeouf's injury from his weekend car crash may be tied into the upcoming blockbuster sequel.
“His two fingers are pretty mashed, but we’re figuring out a way to shoot around it, kind of write it in the story,” Bay told Access Hollywood of the actor, 22, who has undergone extensive hand surgery.
Although LaBeouf was charged with a misdemeanor DUI on July 27, Bay insisted the actor wasn't drunk when his green Ford F-150 truck collided with another car. (On Tuesday, police said LaBeouf was not at fault; the other driver apparently ran a red light.)
Witnesses tell Usmagazine.com that LaBeouf was doing shots of whiskey at L.A.'s Troubadour club before he and co-star Isabel Lucas were involved in the crash. Police later said that LaBeouf showed "outward signs of intoxication."
“You’re gonna see — that’s gonna go away,” Bay said of the DUI charge. "He was not drunk. He was drinking hours and hours before.”
See photos of celebrity mugshots.
Ironically, Bay said he warned LaBeouf about driving safely days before the collision.
“We had a little heart to heart the week before when he bought a brand new motorcycle," he recalled. "[I said], ‘Dude, you cannot ride that motorcycle! If you crash, you put 1,500 people out of work!'
“He said, ‘Ok, I won’t ride it,'" Bay added. "'I’ll just drive my truck.’”
Despite the setback, Bay insisted LaBeouf "really has his head together.
"He’s only 22,” Bay added. “He’s doing a great job on this movie. He’s really matured since the last one, and I love working with him.”

DIRECTOR: SHIA WAS NOT DRUNK DURING CRASH Blog
Shia LaBeouf may have been arrested for DUI after Sunday's car accident – but Transformers director Michael Bay insists the actor was not impaired.
"He was not drunk," Bay tells Access Hollywood in an interview slated to air Friday. "He was drinking hours and hours before." But the director – currently working with LaBeouf on Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen – claims that he did warn his young star about road safety shortly before the crash.
"We had a little heart to heart the week before when he bought a brand new motorcycle," Bay told the TV show. "I [said], 'Dude! You cannot ride that motorcycle! If you crash, you put 1,500 people out of work.' He said, 'Ok, I won't ride it, I won't ride it. I'll just drive my truck.' "
The 22-year-old actor was behind the wheel of that truck early Sunday morning, when it reportedly flipped over following a collision with another car. (Police have said he may not be responsible for the accident.)
LaBeouf was taken to the hospital for extensive hand surgery. (His passenger, Transformers costar Isabel Lucas, was not seriously injured.)
"[Shia's] two fingers are pretty mashed, but we're figuring out a way to shoot around it, kind of write it in the story," Bay says.
In the meantime, the director is unwavering in his support for the Indiana Jones star.
"The kid really has his head together," he says. "He's doing a great job on this movie. He's really matured since the last one and I love working with him."

ISABEL LUCAS DODGES QUESTIONS ABOUT SHIA LABEOUF CAR ACCIDENT Blog
Transformers star Isabel Lucas stayed mum when asked by photographers Tuesday about being a passenger in Shia LaBeouf's truck when they crashed early Sunday morning, leading to his DUI arrest.
"She's okay, we're good," boyfriend Adrian Grenier said as he and the actress walked together in L.A.
"This is not the time for an interview," he added.
Lucas, 23, told the photog: "Thanks for supporting us."
When asked how LaBeouf, 22, is doing following surgery on his hand Sunday, she nodded. (Watch video of the exchange at TMZ.com.)
LaBeouf's mom told Usmagazine.com Monday: "He is doing really well."
On Tuesday, police determined that LaBeouf was not at fault for the crash because the other car involved apparently ran a red light.
"Officers at the scene determined that neither his passenger, nor the other driver, were seriously injured so the charge is misdemeanor DUI," Los Angeles County Sheriff's Sgt. Scott Wolf told Us. The actor, Lucas and the other driver were treated for minor injuries at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in L.A.

COPS: SHIA LABEOUF MAY NOT HAVE CAUSED CRASH Blog
Shia LaBeouf may not have been at fault in a crash that flipped his truck early Sunday morning in West Hollywood, according to authorities.
"It appears he was not at fault," Los Angeles County Sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore said Tuesday. "We have strong evidence that the other driver ran a red light."
After the accident, LaBeouf, 22, was booked on suspicion of DUI at Cedars-Sinai Hospital, where he received extensive surgery on injuries to his left hand."He was showing obvious signs of intoxication from the smell of alcohol coming from his breath," Sgt. Scott Wolf told PEOPLE.
In the car with LaBeouf was his Transformers 2 costar Isabel Lucas, 23, who, in addition to the other driver, did not sustain serious injuries.
Earlier that evening, the Indiana Jones star was seen drinking at a West Hollywood music venue.
"Shia's not perfect, he likes to have fun, but he's not the type to take this accident lightly whatsoever," said Itaru de la Vega, a childhood pal whose band LaBeouf went to see at the venue.
The actor has yet to be formally charged with any crime.
