ANGELINA JOLIE: "BARACK OBAMA WOULD BE GREAT FOR MY FAMILY" Blog
Angelina Jolie doesn't have a problem backing Democrat Barack Obama.
"Obama is fighting for international justice, he wants to intervene militarily in genocides abroad, and he wants to close down Guantanamo Bay," she tells the German edition of Vanity Fair. "They are things which could move me to vote for him, not his roots. Of course, an American president like Barack Obama would be great for my family."
See Barack Obama's family album.
Still, Jolie - whose father, Jon Voight, has endorsed John McCain - says just because Obama would be a good example for her family isn't "reason enough to vote for him."
Check out Barack Obama's biggest celeb supporters.
Despite living across the world (she flew back to Nice, France, this week), Jolie says, "I am very proud of being American, and all my children have got American passports.
"For me, our family is just what America is - a melting pot, a mixture of many different races and nations," she says. "My children should be proud of their Asian and African roots, but that in no way means [is] a lack of respect for the fact that they and their parents are Americans."
See adorable photos of Angelina Jolie with her kids.
As for her new twins, Jolie admits, "It's a damned arduous business, and we are often simply whacked out because it is twice as hard with two babies as with one.
"But it also makes for double the fun," she adds. "After we flew back from Europe, we were all suffering a bit from jetlag. We were all in bed early, but at half past four, they were awake and making a real racket.
"Brad took care of them. He said to me, 'Go back to sleep, you're back to work in the morning,' and moved into the kids' room with them. He is an
astounding father, full of devotion."
For the most part, the twins "have quite similar, stable rhythms," she says. "Every three hours they get hungry, then I have to satisfy them. But that’s OK, the two of them are totally sweet.
"When you see them, you think they were made for each other," Jolie continues. "They laugh together, they sniff each other, touch each other. It is beautiful."
The hardest part of her life these days?
Finding alone time with Pitt.
"Sometimes, at the end of the day, we try to retire to the bathroom to be undisturbed," she says. "But then [the kids] hear the water running and want to come in and, yet again, we are all together. But that doesn’t disturb us because they are great kids."
See Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's most romantic moments.
As the most famous woman in the world, Jolie says, "I would like to have more freedom, especially to have the chance to be more spontaneous with my kids.
"Would I like to be able to walk through the streets with my kids? Of course. Would I like to be able to wander around Manhattan and buy them an ice cream like other mothers? Of course. But it is not possible.
"On the other hand, every morning I wake up with the people who are the most dear to me in the whole world. That's why I don't feel isolated from that, which is important to me," she says. "It helps, of course, that Brad knows all about it, but he's experienced it even more than me. We often talk about it and try to make the best of things. But I am very grateful for our life and everything that we have."

T.I. TELLS FANS TO TURN OFF THE PLAYSTATION AND GET POLITICAL Blog
According to T.I., the presidential race is a subject fit for a king.
Or at least King magazine's politically-themed November issue, for which he served as guest editor.
"When I'm speaking to young people and they say, 'Who you voting for?' I say, 'Well, what you think's wrong with the country?," says the rapper, 28, in a roundtable discussion. "What problems do you need to be fixed? OK, then cut your PlayStation off and turn to CNN and listen to these people." "Listen to each of the candidates' platforms, and whoever you think is speaking passionately and intelligently and will do the things you think need changed, that's who you vote for," he adds.Riffs on President BushT.I. didn't just keep his political passion to one section of the magazine. In another segment, he penned a fantasy collaboration with T-Pain, which included riffs on mistakes the rapper believes President Bush made in his two terms.
Reagan Gomez-Preston, T.I.'s costar in his latest video Whatever You Like, graces the issue's election-themed cover.
Other magazine guest editors from the music world have included Bono, who oversaw an Africa-themed issue of Vanity Fair in 2007, and Hilary Duff, who was the cover girl and guest-editor of Seventeen in 2006.
Yet T.I. projects nothing but confidence about the endeavor. "It's only right that King would indeed have a king as editor in chief," he said in a statement. "I guess this is, indeed, my magazine. Understand that. ... Keep it pimpin'."

ANGELINA: BRAD MAKES TRAVELING WITH KIDS EASY Blog
Ask any parent: traveling with children is no walk in the park. Yet Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt make their flying caravan of six kids – including 3-month-old twins Knox and Vivienne – look pretty darned easy.
Still, there is a downside to all this globetrotting.
"After the flight from Europe," Jolie told the German edition of Vanity Fair, "we were all suffering a bit from jetlag. Although we went to bed early, [the kids] were up at 4:30 a.m. goofing around."
After moving their brood from a chateau in the south of France to a palace in a park in Berlin, the family landed in New York last week for the premiere of her movie Changeling – then jetted back to France Wednesday. Jolie, 33, admits to having an expert travel arranger: "Brad took care of things. He just said, 'Go back to sleep, you have to work tomorrow,' and then went to the living room with the kids. He's an amazing father: totally devoted."
The Challenge of TwinsJolie calls caring for twins a challenge. "We're exhausted a lot, because it's twice as hard with two babies than with one," she says. "But it's twice as much fun, too."
That means watching them interact. "When you look at them, it's like they were made for each other," she explains. "They smile at each other, sniff each other, touch each other. It's just beautiful."
Even at their tender ages, they are each displaying distinct temperaments. "They're totally sweet. They already have completely different personalities. Knox is more the quiet one, very relaxed, while Viv is a little more aggressive and loud," she says.
And as for the inevitable question, "It's funny," Jolie admits, "Knox looks more like Brad and Viv more like me."

ANNE HATHAWAY BREAKS SILENCE OVER EX'S ARREST Blog
Anne Hathaway is breaking her silence about her split from Italian beau Raffaello Follieri, who was arrested in June on charges of wire fraud and money laundering.
"As soon as I found out about the arrest, I had to get on a plane to Mexico to do a press tour for Get Smart," she says in October's W. "And then I spent a week in shock at a friend's house."
(Vanity Fair has reported that Hathaway, 25, broke off her four-year relationship with Follieri, 30, just hours before his arrest. "You were the love of my life," she told him by phone on June 23. Follieri is expected to plead guilty today.)
"It's a situation where the rug was pulled out from under me all of a sudden," Hathaway tells W. "But just as suddenly, my friends threw another rug back under me. One said, 'Go stay at my house.'
"And [Get Smart co-star] Steve Carell stepped up for me during an interview when someone asked a question [about it]. He said, 'At some point you're going to have to talk about this time in your life. You don't have to do it this week. I'll take care of anything that comes your way.'
"I've been shown such kindness," Hathaway goes on, wiping a tear from her face. "Not everyone gets that. A lot of people go through tough times alone."
Do these stars look better after break-up?
She says she is still not over the ordeal (she admitted to reading Gandhi’s autobiography When Things Fall Apart).
While visiting her Rachel Getting Married director Jonathan Demme and his family, she got sad.
"They all had so much going on. And I just started to cry because I thought, 'I don't have a life right now,'" she says. "And I haven't for some time, and I just haven't noticed."
"In the fall I'll start focusing again," Hathaway continues, "but right now I need to be me for a little bit."

VANITY FAIR ESTIMATES CINDY MCCAIN'S OUTFIT COST $313,000 Blog
The outfit Cindy McCain wore on the opening day of the Republican National Convention cost between $299,100 and $313,100, Vanity Fair estimates.
McCain's gold Oscar de la Renta dress cost $3,000 and her heels cost $600, the magazine reports, but it was the accessories that made the ensemble a pricey gambit.
The potential first lady wore three-carat diamond earrings worth an estimated $280,000 as well as a four-strand pearl necklace with a price range between $11,000–$25,000.
She completed the look with a $4,500 Chanel J12 White Ceramic Watch.
"She appreciates very well-made clothes and that have rich, luxurious fabrics," Sasha Iglehart, Glamour magazine's deputy fashion director told the Associated Press. "Such clothes could wear the person and she seems to be able to carry it off."
McCain was accompanied by First Lady Laura Bush, who donned a white Oscar de la Renta suit with a price tag of $2,500. Her Stuart Weitzman heels cost $325 and her pearl stud earrings reportedly cost between $600 and $1,500.
John McCain's address at the convention was watched by about 38.9 million viewers compared to Barack Obama's viewership of 38.4 million last week.

ANNE HATHAWAY TOLD RAFFAELLO FOLLIERI: "YOU WERE THE LOVE OF MY LIFE" Blog
Anne Hathaway dumped her Italian beau of four years, Raffaello Follieri, over the phone, Vanity Fair reports.
Follieri - who is currently jailed and under investigation for wire fraud and money laundering - broke down in tears as the 25-year-old Get Smart actress delivered the news on June 23.
"You were the love of my life," Hathaway told Follieri, according to Vanity Fair. "I'll always love you. You know that, baby."
Just six hours later, Follieri was arrested. It was rumored that Hathaway was cooperating with federal investigators, although her spokesman declined to comment.
At the time of the split, the 30-year-old Italian businessman (whose scheming allegedly consisted of convincing rich investors to buy Vatican properties, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office) was staying in his parents' spare bedroom in the Trump Tower in NYC.
It was a step down from the $37,000-per-month duplex apartment he shared with Hathaway. The actress footed the bill for the apartment for four months, the magazine reports.
See who else is single this summer.
Hathaway was once obsessed with Follieri, according to Vanity Fair.
"It was totally love at first sight... He is sooo good-looking... He looks like a god," Hathaway said after meeting Follieri in 2004.
The magazine said their relationship was passionate initially; Follieri was stubborn, Hathaway was a drama queen. They often greeted each other with,
"Hey, baby."
But things quickly went downhill as Follieri's legal troubles grew earlier this year. (He was also arrested in April for writing a bad check worth $215,000.) Sources told Usmagazine.com "all the shady stuff was too much."
The FBI confiscated the actress' diaries in July as part of their ongoing investigation of Follieri, New York's Daily News reports.
See celeb mugshots.
Follieri now faces life in prison, and Hathaway is moving on.
"The worst thing that happens to you can be the best thing for you, if you don't let it get the best of you," Hathaway - quoting humorist Will Rogers - told Britain's Independent earlier this month.

REPORT: ANNE HATHAWAY CALLED ALLEGED CON MAN EX 'THE LOVE OF MY LIFE' Blog
Anne Hathaway broke off her relationship with Italian businessman Rafaello Follieri just hours before his arrest on charges of wire fraud and money laundering, according to a report in the October issue of Vanity Fair.
"You were the love of my life," she told Follieri by phone on June 23, according to a friend who heard the conversation, Vanity Fair reports. "I'll always love you. You know that, baby." Later that day, Follieri was arrested and accused by federal prosecutors of defrauding investors of millions through claims he had connections with the Vatican. The article also reports that Hathaway, 25, paid the 30-year-old Follieri's $37,000 monthly rent for his duplex in Manhattan's posh Olympic Towers for four months.
Hathaway's father, Jerry, had a private investigator friend check out Follieri three years ago, the story claims. "I regard my involvement in the situation ... as fundamentally a private matter between a daughter and her father," Jerry told the magazine.
Follieri is currently awaiting trial at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York City, unable to pay his $21 million bail.

TERRI HATCHER'S CHILD-MOLESTER FORMER UNCLE DIES IN PRISON Blog
The former uncle Teri Hatcher helped put in prison has died of colon cancer at 70, six years after being sentenced to 14 years behind bars for molesting two young girls, one of whom committed suicide, reports the San Jose Mercury News.
There has been no comment from Hatcher.
In 2006, the Desperate Housewives star went public with the revelation that Richard Hayes Stone – the then-husband of her mother's sister – molested her in the late 1960s and early '70s, when she was no more than 7.Hatcher said that she kept the abuse a secret from everyone, including her parents. She last saw Stone when she was 8 or 9 years old.
"That's a victim thing; you ask yourself, 'Am I just crazy? Did I make all this up?' Somehow it might be easier to accept that you're crazy and made it all up than to admit that it happened, and how awful it was," Hatcher, now 43, told Vanity Fair in 2006.
Like others, Hatcher had read newspaper accounts in 2002 about northern California teen Sarah Van Cleemput, who before shooting herself left behind a note saying, "You're probably thinking a normal teenager doesn't do this; well, ask Dick!"
Prosecutors linked "Dick" in the note to Stone, a former engineer at National Semiconductor and a close friend of Sarah Van Cleemput's family.
Putting the Victim FirstAfter much self-debate, including what this might do to her (then-stalled) career, Hatcher decided to contact authorities and provide further evidence of Stone's criminal past. "At the end of the day, there was no way I was not going to put this girl first, before whatever damage might be done to me," she said afterwards.
"When we went to interview her, she almost canceled," Santa Clara County Deputy District Attorney Chuck Gillingham told the Mercury News in 2006. "But she had been with her daughter that morning and was thinking if, God forbid, something happened to her daughter that someone would come forward and do the right thing."
Once Hatcher's interview transcript was entered into evidence, Stone pleaded guilty and received his sentence.

TERI HATCHER'S ABUSIVE UNCLE DIES Blog
Teri Hatcher's uncle — whom she helped put in prison for molesting her, as well as two young girls — has died.
Richard Hayes Stone, 70 — who had been serving a 14-year sentence at Chuckawalla Valley State Prison in Blythe, Calif. — passed away of colon cancer on Tuesday, a prison spokesman tells the San Jose Mercury News.
He had been behind bars for six years.
"It closes the book on a very, very sad tragedy," said Santa Clara County Deputy District Attorney Chuck Gillingham, who prosecuted Stone. "Unfortunately, those who are still alive will always suffer from his actions."
One of teen girls whom Stone molested shot herself in the head in 2002.
Blown away by the story, Hatcher contacted prosecutors and testified that Stone — the then-husband of her mother's sister — had molested her as well in the late 1960s and early '70s when she was 5. (She said she last saw Stone when she was 8 or 9 years old.)
In an interview with Vanity Fair, she said that she kept the abuse a secret from everyone, including her parents.
"That's a victim thing; you ask yourself, 'Am I just crazy? Did I make all this up?' Somehow it might be easier to accept that you're crazy and made it all up than to admit that it happened, and how awful it was," Hatcher said.
By coming forth with her story, Hatcher said, "It's time for me to stop hiding."

BARACK OBAMA'S HALF BROTHER DISCOVERED IN HUT IN KENYA Blog
Barack Obama's youngest half brother has been living in a shanty town on the outskirts of Nairobi, Kenya, the Italian edition of Vanity Fair reports.
"No-one knows who I am," George Hussein Onyango Obama, 26, told the magazine. "I live here on less than a dollar a month."
George's shack – which measures only 6 feet by 10 feet – features football posters and a photograph of the Democratic presidential hopeful from a newspaper.
"I live like a recluse, no-one knows I exist," said George, who has the same father as the Illinois senator.
"If anyone says something about my surname, I say we are not related," he added. "I am ashamed," he said of the way he lives.
George, who recently enrolled in a local technical college, has met Obama twice: when he was 5-years-old and in 2006 when the senator visited Nairobi.
"It was very brief, we spoke for just a few minutes," George recalled of the 2006 encounter. "It was like meeting a complete stranger."
In his autobiography, Obama described George as a "beautiful boy with a rounded head."

On Monday, NPR News aired an interview with the half sister of John McCain's wife Cindy, who is "upset" and "angry" that the potential first lady describes herself as an "only child."

LEONARDO DICAPRIO'S GRANDMOTHER DIES AT 93 Blog
Leonardo DiCaprio's maternal grandmother Helene Indenbirken has died at the age of 93.
Indenbirken passed away in a hospital in her native North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, Indenbirken's local paper, the Recklinghauser Zeitung, reports.
A cause of death has not yet been reported.
See Us' photo tribute to stars who have gone too soon.
Leo was very close to Indenbirken — the wife of a coal miner — whom he often referred to as "Oma."
The two would see each other whenever DiCaprio was in Europe (he was photographed August 4 on a yacht in Ibiza, Spain). She also accompanied him to many movie premieres, including 2005's The Aviator.
"I love spending time with her because she is gangsta, with an 'a,'" he told Vanity Fair in 2004. "She will tell people exactly what she thinks to their face."
DiCaprio told Vanity Fair his grandmother also saved his mother's life.
A toddler during World War II, his mother, Irmelin, suffered a broken leg. His grandmother nursed her back to health in a German hospital.
"All these refugees from the war and all the soldiers came into the hospital," DiCaprio told Vanity Fair. "She ended up contracting five or six major illnesses and stayed for two and a half, three years.
"My grandmother basically came every day and nursed her back to health because the nurses didn't have time."

TIM RUSSERT'S WIDOW: 'WE'RE DOING GREAT' Blog
Maureen Orth, widow of Tim Russert, said on Monday's Today show, "we're doing great" – and credited the "outpouring of love" from both NBC and the public at large for getting her and son Luke through this period of mourning.
Orth, on the program to discuss her new Vanity Fair article about French first Lady Carla Bruni, also credited her family's faith in helping deal with the loss of Russert.
Meanwhile, Buffalo, N.Y., is not forgetting favorite native son Russert, who is being honored by having a park and a highway named for him – with plans also afoot to rename the airport. "There just seems to be a universal appreciation of what he meant to Buffalo and the pride he always showed in the city," Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown tells The Washington Post. "He used almost every opportunity to promote his home town and to talk about the values he learned here."
Among Brown's edicts to pay tribute to the Meet the Press host – who died June 13 – was an order that all flags on city property be flown at half-staff and a proclamation naming Father's Day for the newsman.
"Tim Russert will always be among the City of Buffalo's greatest citizens and his memory will be honored in perpetuity."
Two Buffalo parks are already named for the NBC newsman, and a statue of him stands before his alma mater, Canisius High School, the paper reports.
Last week, President Bush signed the swiftly passed bill S. 3145, renaming the stretch of U.S. Route 20A in front of the Buffalo Bills stadium the Timothy J. Russert Highway.
This week, the mayor and Russert's sister, Kathy, will unveil signs reading Tim Russert Way in front of the house in which he grew up.
The airport re-naming is a grass-roots campaign that may take time, says The Post.
Something more immediate: the mayor's plan to merge education programs for inner-city fathers and children under the new name of the Tim Russert Family Institute.
"That was such a big part of who he was," says Brown.

MILEY CYRUS BLAMES CONTROVERSIAL PHOTOS ON HER YOUTH Blog
Miley Cyrus chalked it up to her youth when she discussed – for the first time – her controversial photos that appeared in Vanity Fair.
Rehashing the brouhaha of last April on Tuesday's Good Morning America, the musician, promoting her new album Breakout, said, "I think I was just in a stage where I was just trying to get things done, and maybe look for an older audience. I was working with a big magazine just trying to go with what they were saying." But when it came to the criticism about the portraits – which included a pose in which Cyrus, 15, back to the camera, looked to be topless – the singer said, "People need to remember that I am young and that I do have feelings, and I'll do the same thing for them. Anyone who was 15 years old can't say they haven't made a mistake. So I think it's just normal."
Having put that "hard time" behind her, Cyrus says she's walked away smarter, and she now "knows what it's like to have people talk about you like you're kind of iron."

MILEY CYRUS CALLS VANITY FAIR PHOTOS "A MISTAKE" Blog
Miley Cyrus is continuing to speak out about her infamous Vanity Fair photos.
She called the shots "a mistake" during an interview on ABC's Good Morning America on Tuesday.
"I think I was just in a stage where I was just trying to get things done, and maybe look for an older audience," the 15-year-old Hannah Montana star said. "I was working with a big magazine just trying to go with what they were saying."

She described the criticism she received after the issue (which reportedly sold an impressive 435,000 newsstand copies) as a "hard time," adding that she now "knows what it's like to have people talk about you like you're kind of iron.
"People need to remember that I am young and that I do have feelings, and I'll do the same thing for them," Cyrus added. "Anyone who was 15 years old can't say they haven't made a mistake. So I think it's just normal."

Since the incident, she said that she has learned "to stay true" to herself, adding, "I think it does make me more relatable [to my fans]."
Cyrus — whose new album Breakout drops Tuesday — said she didn't know if she "could go back to a normal life."

"I think it would be too hard," she addd. "It's weird because I feel very normal... but then sometimes I want to go to the mall... and I'm thinking I'm totally gonna be fine and be able to shop around, [but] it's not like it is for a normal teenager."
"It will be really funny when I'm laughing with my friends and they're like 'OK, you're on a totally different planet,' because I'm like 'Oh, I bet that's how school is and this and that...'
"My friends are like, 'Oh my gosh, it's totally different. It is not all happy and smiley. It's probably much harder than your job, what you do Miley,'" Cyrus said.

MILEY CYRUS: "I DON’T THINK THERE COULD BE A 'NEXT MILEY'" Blog
Selena Gomez — the next Miley Cyrus?
Miley doesn't think so.
Following her controversial Vanity Fair cover, some pegged Disney singers Selena Gomez or Demi Lovato as two wholesome girls who could fill the teen queen's shoes.
But the 15-year-old Hannah Montana star tells Extra, "I don’t think there could be a next Miley. I think they should be the next Selena, the next Demi ... [and] make their own way.”
She says she takes it as a compliment that "people are looking up to what I do."

Still, she says she'll always have to deal with media attention.
"Instead of putting negativity to it," Cyrus says, "I'm taking the opportunity to make it a positive thing.”

Being in the public eye "gives me an opportunity to voice those decisions, those things I go through a little more publicly, and hopefully they help people out in their lives," she says.
Cyrus says she is already gearing up to host the Teen Choice Awards in August. (Click here to see the famous female who wants to kiss Miley at the show.)
“I’ve already got my outfits," Cyrus says. " I want to be very different. Sequins are definitely very fun for me, but I’m getting kind of over doing the 'sequins thing.' Hopefully, I can break some new fashions.”

COSTAR: LEAVE MILEY ALONE! Blog
Miley Cyrus has certainly endured her fair share of media scrutiny in recent months. But enough is enough, says her Hannah Montana costar Jason Earles.
"I feel like they are picking on her," Earles – who plays Cyrus's big brother on the show – told PEOPLE Thursday at an ABC Television Critics Association party in Beverly Hills.
First Cyrus was criticized for a scantily clad Vanity Fair photo spread earlier this year. And now a series of personal photographs showing the 15-year-old in semi-suggestive poses (and exposing her midriff) have surfaced on the Internet.
"She's a really good kid and like any normal 15-year-old, she's not always going to make the best decisions," Earles said. "When you get to her level of popularity it's so easy to find little chinks in the armor and try to tear her down .... If you think her personal life is a little too risqué, then have that conversation with your kids." The actor also said that his TV sister doesn't get credit for all the good things she does.
"If you'd see the amount of time she spends with the Make-A-Wish kids that come down to the set or the Phone-A-Friend program, where she calls these sick kids to cheer them up," he said. "If people saw the amount of positive things that she does, they would see how silly the picture 'scandals' really are."
Earles called Cyrus is a "great role model." But, in the end, he said, "Parents still have the responsibility to tell their kids what's right and what's wrong. Miley is not going to raise your kids for you."
Cryus is in the midst of filming the Hannah Montana movie. Production on her Disney Channel show resumes August 4.

MILEY CYRUS WANTS TO DO A "YOUNGER, CLEANER" SEX AND THE CITY SHOW Blog
Move over, Carrie Bradshaw.
“I’d love to do a younger, cleaner version of Sex and the City,” Miley Cyrus, 15, tells TV Guide.
(She previously told Vanity Fair that the HBO series is her favorite show. She later issued a statement clarifying that she only watches the edited, TBS version).
Still, she says she won't be having sex anytime soon.
"I like to think of myself as the girl that no one can get, that no one can keep in their hand," Cyrus goes on.
Like her pals the Jonas Brothers, Cyrus wears a purity ring.
“Even at my age, a lot of girls are starting to fall,” she says, “and I think if [abstaining] is a commitment girls make, that’s great.”

As for her controversial Vanity Fair cover, she says, “I don’t dwell on the negativity.
"I want to be a positive role model," she adds.
She says she feels "empowered" when she sees her face on a T-shirt.
"A girl wouldn’t be wearing a shirt with me on it just because she liked my show," Cyrus says. "She must look up to me.”

She says she doesn't know if she could survive the business without “a God that blesses me with the ability to do this.”
She says her latest single "Seven Things" stands for the seven things she cannot live without: “The Bible"; "my mommy!”; “my Yorkie Roadie and my lovebird Zazu”; "grilled cheese"; “music and my beautiful Gibson guitar”; "my black Chuck Taylor Converse sneakers”; “my Sidekick.”

WYCLEF: PITT-JOLIE "WILL BE ALRIGHT" RAISING SIX KIDS Blog
Six kids is definitely a handful, but Wyclef Jean says his pals Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie can handle it.
"They’ll be alright," he told Usmagazine.com over the weekend at MLB.com's "33 Club party" in NYC. "They are a great couple."
He said he has "a lot of wishes" for the couple, who welcomed Knox and Vivienne Saturday in Nice, France. (Pitt was by Jolie's side at the time of the twins' births and cut the babies' umbilical cords.)
Said Jean, "I plan on calling them personally."

Angelina's dad Jon Voight was equally thrilled about the babies.
"Twins are a big deal. How many people have seen twins?" he told Us at the the FOX Television Critics Association party on Monday. "Even [if they're] the world's most remarkable, sleep-oriented, calm children... two kids at the same time is a big deal."

Jolie recently said that she and Voight have reconciled after years of estrangement.
"We’re in contact ... and wish each other well," she told the July issue of Vanity Fair. "I think it’s best that, if we try to have any relationship in the future, we do it quietly."
