Description: Well, Your looking at a Hot Air Brass Fan. 200 odd hours was spent getting the fan to this stage , where 60 odd hours alone was spent on the motor , removing the seized piston, hand hone the cylinder bore, heating up and removing nuts and bolts for re-use. refurbish the rods , and fitting a slighly oversize nut and bolt to '' the conrod ' so to speak ,''to take knock out of the motor while running''. The motor runs till the metho runs out as prior , was 3 -4 minutes, due to Singer Oil replaced with 2 stoke oil for lubricating. There are no bearings or intake or exhaust ports used with the Stirling motor . Insulation was used , and various types tried, and the right amount used to keep the cylinder slightly cooler than the heater. The camera unfortunately has amplified the noise excessively , as it sounds like an old printing press on the video , however it is quite quiter in actually running.
